An Amish Widow’s New Love by Vannetta Chapman is a darling story. Amos Yoder’s has an empty nest now that his five daughters have married, but it may not be that way for long. I like Vannetta Chapman’s writing style. It is friendly and engaging. The characters are friendly and relatable. I felt for Hope whose middle son, Lucas, is struggling since the death of his father, and she is hoping that a new town will be good for all of them. I enjoyed visiting the market again. It is a large operation which gets busier each year. I like how faith was woven into the story. An Amish Widow’s New Love is the sixth book in the Indiana Amish Market series. It can be read as a standalone, but I recommend reading each book in this delightful series. It was great to catch up with Amos’s daughters and their families. The Yoder clan continues to expand, and the market is a family affair. I was happy and sad to reach the end. I liked the ending, but I am sad that it is the last book in the series. An Amish Widow’s New Love is a heartwarming tale with a new town, a lemon of a home, a troubled teen, a caring community, piles of paperwork, and a fresh start.

This was a story of a young widow's financial plight after her husband's passing. He has left her with more debt than she can handle and she moves to a new Amish community. She has nothing to her name except those debts and the house she purchased after the sale of her past home. Will the new community accept her and how will she and her sons forge a new path? This was a really good book and I enjoyed it very much. She finds help through Amos Yoder, the owner of the Amish Market. And then she finds a wonderful community and more! I absolutely loved this story! Amos and Hope's story is so much more than just a story of romance and faith. It deals with many real-life issues that are not dealt with very often. Changes, effects, and difficulties associated with new stages of life Changes, effects, and difficulties of starting over in the unfamiliar The importance of community support Effects and difficulties associated with unexpected situations, regardless of the person's age Difficulties young people face, especially in trying to deal with changes Tough love Although I know these issues are dealt with in other stories, author Vanneta Chapman's descriptive writing brings them so much to life that it makes the reader feel every bit of what the characters are going through. And though this does come up often, I love that this story deals with a second chance at love during a later stage in life rather than at a young age.
