It has very sleek clear glass protector and it would look great with many different types of light bulbs. We had no trouble with installation, however it would be good to note to keep the wiring long as we need to experiment with different lengths; the product is modular with many options for lengths, and our wires are too short for the length that would look best, but that's not a fault of the product. We've had this light up for about a day. I am really enjoying the shadows that it casts. It gives the space a more interesting look and feel.
