Horrid smell!
I always buy unscented OxiClean. This week, I purchased the same bucket design I usually do. When I got home and removed the lid, the powder smelled absolutely terrible, so I immediately closed it. It smells like cheap perfume and vomit. Nowhere on the label does it state that it is “scented" [see photo.]. It goes back to Target.

Ruined two of my favorite shirts
Let me start by saying I don’t own bleach I don’t use bleach I bought OxiClean Versatile Stain Remover Powder after using it at my son‘s house and the first load I did put a bleach spot on the back of one of my brand new shirts. I’m like well it’s in the back. My hair will cover it. No big deal move on then I washed another shirt and it left these two weird looking stain patterns and I know it has to be the stuff because I didn’t add anything different but it I’m extremely mad and extremely disappointed that this stuff could actually bleach my shirts. I poured the rest of it down the drain.

New batch has strong, persistent perfume
I have used OxiClean for years to keep cloth napkins, towels, and dish towels white. However, I just bought a new box and to my dismay, it has an extremely strong perfume that does not wash out of the fabric, even after a long hot-water cycle with an extra rinse. (I'm confirming that this is "Versatile Stain Remover", not the odor-removing product.) I find the fragrance irritating and unpleasant, and I don't want perfumed dish towels and dinner napkins. I hope this batch is a fluke, I would hate to have to give up using OxiClean.

Good product, bad packaging
Oxyclean is a good product - I don't use it often, but when I need something soaked clean from oils/stains/discoloration, this usually does the trick. But a word of warning about the large 7 lb bulk size - mine arrived, like many others apparently did based on reviews, spilled into the shipping box. This isn't a Target shipping issue, it's an Oxyclean packaging issue. The Oxyclean box was taped closed on both ends (although not fully sealed) and was not damaged, but the plastic bag inside had a large hole right in the middle and was spilling the powder, which then was able to sift through the flaps of the box. Thankfully I only lost maybe 1/2 cup worth of the powder in total, but it was kind of a mess to unpackage and clean up. It's a good value given the amount of product for the price, but the bulk size packaging needs a serious redesign!

Saved a White Sweater
I’ve had a container of this for years, but saving a white cardigan made me write this review. There was a huge laundry OOPS and a white, knit cardigan ended up in the machine with new, dark denim jeans. We all know how badly dark denim runs, so no surprise to see the sweater was a horrible, splotchy mess. We caught it before going into the dryer, & mom told me to immediately grab oxiclean powder, dissolve it in a bucket of cool water, soak the sweater for a while, squish the water out, then make a fresh bath of oxiclean & cool water, & put the sweater back in overnight. I was amazed when I couldn’t find a single trace of blue, after a thorough rinsing.
