Pros: Great figures that complement the original Kenner line. 5/6 new characters! Great price for 6 figures. Cons: Frustrating sporadic releases, shipping packaging iffy resulting in far from mint product packaging.

The product is Great. Just what I've been looking for and well done.....how Target handled this launch? An abomination. Canceling the preorders created a breeding ground for scalpers.

The whole fiasco of canceled pre-orders was very annoying. Then, I order one again and it’s badly banged up. I found one in store and wanted to open a set — so it ok enough. But still they need to recognize collectibles for better shipping. Buy it at the store if you can.

Shipping box ok, but item box look liked someone stepped on it before putting it into the shipping box. Customer service was no help, I'll be returning. This is on top of Target cancled my pre-order

It would be nice if exclusives like tgis were actually made available in some form. This is a total waste and makes me want to quit the hobby.

Great addition for those of us who had the original line. Nice to see a mix of new figures that fit right in. Very happy with the purchase.

This is something myself and a lot of fans have been waiting for for about 48 years. The figures themselves are awesome and I highly recommend for collectors. The product is clearly deserving of 5*. The markdown of a star is due to 2 problems. 1) I had a pre-order, but Target cancelled due to "issues". Not sure where the breakdown happened but it did. Rather than giving us the option to wait it out, our orders were cancelled and predatory scalpers began taking what they could off shelves to sell for inflated prices on the secondary market. 2) I want more of some of these figures. I hope Hasbro sells the troopers individually for army building.

The only reason I’m giving it a one star review is because of the absolute rigmarole and poor customer experience that target provided and acquiring this. Cancel the orders and no communication forced individuals like myself to have to drive hours to search these things out. Absolutely ridiculous.

Well I was looking so forward to these. I had originally pre-ordered 2 boxes. I was deeply disappointed when those were cancelled. Being disabled I can't find them in the wild so to speak but finally with patience I managed to snag a box from here. This box set includes two figures I really wanted as a child, the rebel fleet trooper and the sandtrooper, I never understood why they didn't make them back when I was a kid.

I like the retro sets from the original series, and this one is no exception. I know there were issues with the preorders, and as best I can tell, that would be the primary reason for the low rating. It made it difficult to get it, but if you do get the chance, I highly recommend it.

I know a lot of people pre-ordered this box set and then had their orders cancelled and money refunded with no explanation. That's unfortunate, and I'm sorry for them. My experience, however, was excellent. I saw the box set in stock one morning, ordered it and had it at my house the next day. It was in excellent condition. The figures themselves are outstanding, totally capturing that vintage Kenner feel. The cardbacks are thick, the fake weathering around the edges has been toned down, and the "Retro" sticker is easy to peel off. Looks like Hasbro/Kenner listened! I recommend this set 100% and look forward to future Retro releases.

I really do like this set. I originally didn't want to get it however, today I was able to score this in-store without having to go to the other store that had it which was 23 miles away. They still had 5 left in stock at the store when I got there, plus I was able to choose the set that was in the best shape. Keep on checking your target stores that say in stock at the store. Happy Hunting fello collectors. Also no scalpers are after this in my opionion since they still have plenty on the shelf.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My little one is very happy with his new toy. I loved its design and durability. When you have small children, toys should last. The packaging is very nice and well-maintained. It has an affordable price, especially the quality. I would definitely buy it again.

Well this really is tremendous once you finally score one. Figures I wished were made in 1977. This should be the purpose of the Retro Collection (from an adult perspective). Prob can’t blame Target entirely for the issues with availability.

I am one of the many customers that preordered this item to then have it cancelled due to the vendor. Instead of offering to prioritize the customers that preordered it, the figures were haphazardly sold in stores and online but needing to constantly refresh in order to purchase. I read about people driving hours to find a strore that had one. Why should customers go through this? I did not know if I would ever be able to buy one at Target so I bought it on another website at twice the retail price. Mere days after they arrived, Target announced that at the end of June there would be a mass distribution of the figures. I was able to finally purchase one this morning on the Target website. My recommendation is to offer anyone who did buy the figures before June 30th on another webstie, that Target give a Target gift card in the amount they paid over the retail price of $59.99 plus tax. Example, if you paid $120 on eBay or Amazon, Target will send you a gift card of $120 - $59.99 + tax= $. Please apologize for the inconvenience to the customers. Please assure us you will do everything to avoid this happening again in the future. I personallly will not buy anything from Target that I can buy someplace else ever again. I may consider exclusive items, but that is it. I am done with Target.
