The bike is adorable, but I’m pretty disappointed that it arrived in a condition I would expect from a used bike. There were paint chips on the handles, a warped basket, and one of the bolt covers split down the middle. Definitely not something you would expect from a $150 bike.

Assembly: I assembled this on Christmas Eve, about 1am and it took a good hour or so to middle through. Sure, I was tired, but the instructions left something to be desired. The packet starts with step one, and then immediately splits based on type of handlebar your bike has which was confusing as four pages later it then goes back to single steps for all hike types (but then splits again at various points like choosing which version of training wheels your model has). The written steps are also confusing. It's correct English, but I feel it could be written better if the brand had Test Groups cussing this thing out. For example, I completely missed that the whole front wheel had to be turned around on a 180 degree rotation before proceeding. Images also were missing steps/details which added to confusion: to tighten the handlebar there are steps 2 and 3, but step 3 could have had the tool pictured next to it. The final step, attaching the hub covers was missing completely from the steps. Tools needed were included, but I found it odd that the one tool you would need, a screwdriver, was utilized to attach the safety reflection features. I felt if you didn't have this handy it was a step that would be delayed and shouldn't be. Product: The bike came in nicely padded and wrapped, but there was a minor scratch on one wheel rim. The basket is a cheap white plastic thing, I wish it was a better quality. It's attached with flimsy plastic "zip ties" which don't lock into place firmly and I wouldn't trust with too much weight. The flower is also pretty lame and I didn't notice on ordering that this model lacked a bell. They're available for $5 on Amazon so I feel this was a miss not to include on all bikes. The letter stickers are a touch I'm conflicted about; I don't want to advertise my child's name but I do want to point out there is only one upper case and one lower case letter included so children with multiple letters are not going to be able to utilize them without a nickname. Riding: The bike seems pretty steady and my daughter has a bit of difficulty getting the bike started peddling but I anticipate she'll get the hang of it. I have noticed that my tightening of the training wheels were not enough and they have been coming loose while she rides it. I've had to check frequently when she is on it.
