It's totally as is advertised

This product is PERFECT if you like the taste of bourbon. The bourbon flavor is remarkably authentic; if you told me it was just maple syrup mixed with a shot of bourbon, I would believe you. I swear, the first time I tried it, I instinctively thought it was going to burn like a real shot. Then comes that familiar, sweet maple syrup taste you expect from the real thing. ​Anyone else who has tried this, please share your thoughts. While I am not a huge bourbon fan myself, I can totally see how anyone who is would love it. Because of its accuracy, I give it a 4 out of 5, though I personally wish the bourbon flavor was toned down just a tad. Even so, I can't complain—it delivers exactly what it promises, and I respect that.

Used to be amazing -- Now, I do not recommend

This was my favorite maple syrup for a couple of years. Recently, for some unknown reason the company completely changed the recipe. The photo I've attached shows back when it was truly Bourbon Barrel aged and was a thick delicious maple syrup. Now, it is a very runny consistency and tastes like an overpowering synthetic bourbon.
