It’s very interactive and keeps him engaged. It is so soft and cute, and it has such an adorable charm that makes it hard not to smile! It is a durable toy and easy for my son to carry from room to room. It makes cute sounds and has adorable movements. It comes with a slice of watermelon that you can “feed” it. It’s definitely a great toy for kids who enjoy imaginative and interactive play!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a cute toy. It needs to keep being played with to keep learning to walk. It makes little sounds by humming, and making little noises. I could not get her to make eating sounds by just putting the watermelon in her mouth. I had to push down on her tongue with my hand for her to make eating noises. Comes with easy to follow instructions.

Adorable toy, interactive and holds attention well
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This little hippo is adorable and my almost 4yo absolutely loves it! It is very easy for young children to interact with and after showing him once how to press the button on the back and press the watermelon slice onto her tongue, he figured it out himself and was able to play with it independently. He loves the sounds the hippo makes and giggles whenever she makes a sound or plops down. He even tries to move around with her when she starts to walk. I think this is a great interactive toy for young children in his age range and seems like it'll hold his attention very well.

I didn’t expect to feel this excited trying something new for my child, but fuReal Sally the Silly Hippo surprised me in the best way. The first time I turned her on, Sally’s goofy sounds and playful movements instantly caught my attention — and more importantly, made my child laugh out loud. What I really enjoy is how interactive she feels. Sally reacts, makes silly noises, and has this clumsy-cute personality that doesn’t feel overdone. I’ve seen a lot of toys that get ignored after a day or two, but this one keeps getting picked up again. In my opinion, that says a lot more than fancy features ever could. Personally, I think Sally is one of those toys that brings genuine joy, not just noise. I like that she feels playful without being overwhelming, and honestly, watching my child bond with her is my favorite part.

We got a Hippopotamus for Christmas!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Fur Real Sally the Silly Hippo is a generous sized adorable interactive hippo toy. To utilize all of the phrases, one must shift the try me mode to on from inside the velcro flap on the tummy. Sally has a heart shaped button on her back that is accesible through the fabric. When, time elapses Sally will snore and settle down for a nap. The Sally hippo can walk and will make eating noises as well as say “yum-yum”when her tongue is pressed with the watermelon. Sally is a happy little hippo that does not make too much noise and is minimal in weight. The durability is great, the hippo is well made and durable enough to withstand hours of play. Sally requires AA batteries which are included. Our whole family enjoys the Fur Real Sally the Silly Hippo and are greatful to have received it as an incentive to leave an honest review on Influenster.

So far my 6 year old has got her to do a little dance, walk, eat a watermelon and go to sleep and make funny snoring noises. This hippo is super cute and soft. Adorable design but poor technology
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was really excited about this toy for my 4 year old. My 9 year old jumped in to play as well when we first got it but it fell short of expectations. The quality of material and aesthetically it’s great but the technology and interaction is lackluster. It didn’t hold either of my kids attention for more than 5 minutes. It didn’t respond to eating the watermelon more than most of the time. It doesn’t make many uniquely different sounds, they kind of all sound slightly the same. It says 30 plus different interactions but after hearing it for 5 minutes, it became boring fast. It can walk and lay down and that’s about it!

Cute Hippo lots of fun
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My son screened Hippo as soon as I showed it to him. It is one of his favorite animals. It is a great size and the button to activate it pushes easily for him to do all by himself. The packaging was quite annoying to open as there were little strings tied in tiny knots attached to the toy. I did not read the instructions as it is pretty much self explanatory. He loved watching it walk around the floor. The eating part is a little hard and the food doesn’t stay on the mouth well. Overall it gives him great amusement.

So fun to play with
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Sally the Hippo is so darn cute. My kids love her only they are changing name to a boys name as soon as they can agree on a new name. The hippo is very entertaining, it’s learning to walk when falls down and laughs and when she eats her piece of watermelon she said hmmmm. She’s a great value for the money. While she makes noise is not loud .
