Description

Help young stargazers discover the wonders of science and space with this LEGO Creator 3 in 1 Space Exploration Telescope (31378) toy building set for boys and girls ages 8 and up. Kids can engage in hours of pretend play as they build 3 different STEM toys from 1 set of LEGO bricks. Young builders can create an adjustable telescope on a tripod with a solar system model featuring the sun and 7 planets that spin. This can be rebuilt into an adjustable microscope or a UFO model with posable antennae and legs that flip out for display. Each buildable space toy includes a light brick with batteries, which kids activate by pushing a button to project images from the telescope onto a surface, illuminate images on the microscope, or beam a light from underneath the UFO. The set includes 3 interchangeable decorated lenses—containing images of a planet, star, and the Moon—to project from the telescope or view inside the microscope. Once built, any of the models can double as kids' bedroom decor. Only one model can be built at a time. Makes an exciting birthday gift or anytime present for kids who love STEM toys and creative play. The LEGO Builder app provides easy-to-follow instructions where kids can save sets, track progress, and zoom in to rotate models in 3D while building. Contains 278 pieces.

    Felt cheap and unstable

The overall set is ok, but it is unstable. It shakes from 2 places; the curved adjustable gear rack, and the spot where the legs and the telescope attach and collapsed during assembly. I feel like the quality is off which makes feel cheap.

It's never fun when things don't work as they should. From what you’ve described, a little rebuilding might be in order. You’ll want to make sure that each part is in the exact position shown in the instructions and that everything’s pressed together tightly (except the gears, which need some extra room to turn). You should have much better results! We're always available at LEGO.com/Service if you'd like assistance!

    A little unstable

The overall set is pretty cool, but it is unstable, and the light brick inside is not bright enough. The thing shakes from 2 places; the curved adjustable gear rack, and the spot where the legs and the telescope attach

It’s never fun when things don’t work the way they should. You might want to try the LEGO Builder app for the 3D version of the instructions to catch smaller details. You'll want to make sure that each part is positioned exactly as shown in the instructions and that everything is pressed together firmly (except the gears, which need a bit of space to turn). If you’d like a hand troubleshooting the build, feel free to reach out at LEGO.com/Service, we’re happy to help!

    Missing key piece from set!

Missing a key piece in bag two. Couldn’t built the leg of the telescope because the piece was missing. I contacted LEGO- and they said it would take 13-15 business days to receive the missing part. No thanks. I’ll be returning the set. It cannot even be partially built without it since it is one of the long leg supports. Ugh.

Wonderful for a young Space enthusiast

My 8 year old son built it in a couple of days. You can build the telescope and the solar system independently, which he loved!! While the telescope isn't a real one, it comes with a yellow light they can play with.

Excellent for a little Space or Science Enthusiast

My 7 yr old son loves everything about space. He researched this lego set and asked for it as an end of term reward. He was not disappointed! The set is small but offers opportunities to enhance building techniques as well as encourage engagement in imaginative play. All three builds are creative and entertaining.

Perfect for any space loving kid

My 7yo son purchased this set and immediately came home and built the telescope. The light brick provides a fun extra feature with all three builds. We love all the 3-in-1 sets because they always provide a good bang for your buck.

    Satisfying and relaxing

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Lego set is perfect for a quiet relaxing evening. Not only is it extremely satisfying to complete the set and see how stable and sturdy everything looks, the included light also makes you appreciate it so much more. The light itself isn’t anything out of this world, the resolution is a little low but it’s still very gratifying. Ergonomics wise, it’s a little stiff but it’s supposed to be more of a decorative piece in opinion. This requires no maintenance aside from the batteries so it’s perfect. So I guess Lego isn’t just for kids jaja

    We love legos!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We love this Lego set! My daughter is big into space so she was super excited to build this together. It obviously goes together flawlessly and effortlessly. The light up brick was so cool!! Unfortunately i was unable to get a picture with it completed before my daughter wanted to take it apart and build it another way lol. Overall, it’s amazing!
