Think I may have found my new go to. For awhile now been trying various breads as suddenly they make me very congested/phlegmy no matter if it's organic, regular, sprouted, etc. Through researching I've stayed away from wheat thinking it's a glyphosate intolerance of sorts. I ran across this & it is non GMO, with just the ingredients necessary for bread. Been many, many years since I've eaten white bread of any kind & usually prefer nuts, seeds, texture, rough bread. I must say though that this is delightful. Because of the shape the first few slices are quite small which is good being I immediately ate the heal, plain, just to taste. Then the nect piece with butter. Then 2 more slices, from the middle, for a pulled pork sandwich at dinnertime. Just had a snack of 2 slices, toasted, with butter & homemade peach preserves. No reaction at all, lungs are clear, stomach is fine. I don't normally eat that much bread in a day, but it's so tasty and decided it was acceptable for scientific research. It toasts up crispy with a lovely crunchy crust and yet the interior though toasted it's still soft inside. It does have a bit of a tang as it should & specifies as such with the "San Francisco Style" labeling. If you're looking for a healthy alternative or bread made with the basics or just enjoy sourdough, I recommend that you should give it a go.

By far, the best actual sourdough in Target. I've been searching for a sourdough that doesn't have a million ingredients and actually tastes like fresh sourdough, this is it. Thank you Izzio!

I love the flavor of this bread. Perfect amount of “sour.” But I took one star off for the form of the loaf. Some of mine have been almost flat. I don’t think that’s handling because there are gluten “bubbles” in the slices. I think it just needs to be proofed a little longer before the baking stage. I’ll still buy it though. It tastes great and it’s kind of interesting to see how flat yeast bread can be. 😁

No expiration date, that’s concerning.

This is a must have on every shopping visit!!! We don’t eat a lot of bread so it freezes so nicely. I put four pieces in a small freezer bag and pull it out as needed.
