Transformers Studio Series MTMTE Collection The Transformers: The Movie Deluxe Class Prowl

First thing I'd like to say is that I'm glad I got this figure. I've been wanting to add a G1 Prowl figure to my collection for a long time and I'm grateful to finally have one though I wish Hasbro tweaked the mold a little or created a whole new one altogether. The figure itself gets 5 stars but the shipping and handling gets 3 stars. I don't know who thought the best way to ship this figure to me was through a shipping envelope or whatever it's called but please, never do that again. the condition of the box was poor and the fact that this wasn't shipped in a box to begin with was a very poor decision too. If my order gets delayed because Target is waiting for boxes to pack this in, I have no problem with that.

The condition of Prowl looks amazing and the delivery went smoothly. Glad I got him before they sell out again!

Great figure

Target was the first store to show it's availability and I like shopping there, so I jumped on it. I'm happy. Thank you.

Overall good figure but the waist comes loose very easily. I like the paint apps with the cartoon colors. Transformation is fun and intuitive. Just too bad this is a store exclusive. They’re getting harder and harder to find.

The colors pop in person. The fit of the gun in the hand is quite tight on my copy but I'm not afraid of it breaking

Fun toy

He looks pretty good honestly, and his transformation, in concept, is truly easy enough for an 8 year old, but there are numerous flaws that eliminate even the pretense of a "toy" (which I find charming compared to the MP line) and make it obvious they cut corners, leaving you with very little mass for the price point. First, he's quite obviously a retool of his War for Cybertron: Siege mold. Not a big issue, it's very good as a "space car" more akin to a bullet-like pod skimming through the air, but as an earth vehicle he lacks the ground to roof clearance I want. This is mostly due to how steeply the windshield slopes back, so wouldn't have been unfixable.also, bizarrely given he's a retool of the same figure, instead of the much better WfC:Siege head, they used the modern Bluestreak head. Just ... why? Sure, you're unlikely to notice until it's pointed out, but once it is, there's no not seeing it. The first real bothersome issue is basically the lack of mass, all the gaps and unfilled in (or hidden) empty space. It's most noticeable between his abdomen and the roof of the car in profile and the insides of the calves. The roof/abdomen issue is where it gets a little fragile, in this mode it feels like applying too much careless pressure will snap it. Note, I've owned far worse, it's moderately durable plastic, but it's a thin sheet without any tabbed in pieces to reinforce it. His calves, just ... ugh, I'm almost annoyed they bothered with the little fold down bit, it's almost insulting, it's like using a washcloth to hide ... your hand (so that I don't get in trouble for what I really mean). They really needed some folding panels that would box in the empty space which is very necessary for the thighs, I do realize this). Then there's his heels. Both visually super awkward, but also absolutely necessary for a pose, which they do work perfectly for, so at least there's that... just ... can't not see them ... finally, for robot mode, the door wings, which are nicely proportioned (if not a tad bit narrow) mostly only go straight out or straight back, no angle between like there should be. In vehicle mode, aside from how short he is, the big issue are the wheel covers. The front arms will require a bit of pressure in the right spot, but will come close. The rear covers will just never fully align with the rear windshield. The real serious problems go back to his abdomen. First, it's inexcusable they did not add a back cover to the swivel joint connecting his top half to his bottom half. It'll hold a pose, but, without actually breaking mind you, the top half will repeatedly slide off the waist during transformation and posing (let alone "play"). Yet somehow worse is the tab connecting the hood of the car to his abdomen. There *is* a tab and it holds well enough to pose - it's not flimsy and floppy, but again, during transformation I literally groaned in frustration 2mor 3 times after the billionth disconnect. Play is unthinkable with this issue. And I actively like the at least "pretense" of it being a "toy" compared to the MP line (clearly largely just collectable). If you want a (roughly) 6 inch scale figure that looks good and holds a pose without *completely* breaking the bank, go for it, just be aware of the issues and accept that your basically buying the skin to a video game character without the underlying structure (which speaks negatively to value). If you want even the pretense of a toy (again, which I actively enjoy as a charming feature when they manage at least a veneer) look elsewhere.

I'm very happy to finally be able to get ss86 prowl, however, he's very fragile- fell into two when I got him and got the 2007 jazz treatment... but a nice figure otherwise. His feet are a little weird, and he's not that easy to pose.

The previous versions of this figure were good, but this Target Edition comes with solid plastic and colors based on the character's TV appearance! Very good buy!

So when I got my package and opened it my prowl figure was in two pieces but it was a easy fix so I have no complaints

It’s an awesome figure overall and I love the articulation on the door wings, but the waist swivel is very loose and has a tendency to completely fall out of place, leaving the figure in half. Thankfully, the waist is the only joint with that issue and other joints are very sturdy for dynamic posing

figure came perfectly fine and it was exactly what i wanted , i feel bad for the other people orderd this and were not pleased.
