Cute and creative virtual pet!
Full disclosure, I am an adult and I got this for myself. I loved tamagotchi growing up, and I've always been obsessed with dinosaurs, and this toy immediately caught my eye with the skull-shaped shell and the creative "pseudo-hologram" display. I thought it would be a cute little desk toy or collector's item. But I've played through it and found it hard to put down! The progression is much faster than your standard tamagotchi, which is probably a good thing to keep the modern kid engaged. The whole thing is beatable in a day or two, but the games, battles, and the fact that you can get 2 variants of each prehistoric animal, mean that there is a decent amount of replayability. First, the pros: 1. The dinosaur sprites are cute and well-animated. Each one has unique interactions when the toy is tilted or shaken, and these interactions change when the baby dinosaur becomes and adult (which happens after only about 3 minutes of interacting with the baby). For example, the baby anklosaur trots offscreen and comes back covered in leaves before shaking them off, or the adult pteranodon soars into the clouds and comes back down for a landing. Feeding animations are also unique and often movie references, with things like the Mosasaur leaping up to grab a shark, or the compsognathus (which comes as a group of 3!) devouring a sandwich together. I was really impressed with how much character the animator was able to impart with such a low-res display. 2. You can close the lid, and the dinosaurs all essentially pause, and they won't get hungry or sick. 3. The gameplay loop is fun, with a surprising amount of depth for this kind of toy. You collect dinosaur fossils from different unlockable biomes, use the dna machine to make eggs from the fossils, hatch the eggs, grow the baby dinosaurs to adults, play games to level up the dino's stats (each game levels different stats!), and battle with computer-controlled dinosaurs to unlock new biomes/fossils and earn amber, which is used to make rare variants. The battles and games are simple enough for a kid to understand, but have just enough complexity that they're not boring for even an adhd adult like me. 4. The hologram screen and T-rex skull case. Extremely cool. Now, for the cons: 1. The big one is that the hologram screen is a flexible LED strip oscillating at high speed and therefore susceptible to bending. I had to do some careful bending of the strip out of the box to fix a tilted display. It seems to have held up to my big ol' fingers pressing on it and flexing it, but I could see a young kid bending it out of shape or breaking it if they tend to be tough on their toys. Maybe best suited for kids who will know how to handle a slightly delicate toy. The vertical viewing angle is also somewhat narrow, so it's hard to set it on a table to play with it while still seeing the whole image. It also flickers rapidly (like a zoetrope or old film -- this is necessary due to how it works) which may bother some eyes. I didn't mind it. 2. The manual leaves some information out. For a young kid and/or anyone not used to video game logic and virtual pets, the learning curve might be a little steep. The hand symbol indicating that you have to physically press the screen all the way down is not obvious at first, but it's easy once you know that you have to do it. The swipe bar takes some getting used to as it requires some pressure. The games' controls are not obvious at first, but are simple with some trial and error. 3. The music in some of the games is ... interesting. I'm not sure if I'm just not on the level of avant garde tonality the composer is on, or if they were partially AI generated. The victory/lose/success fanfares are fine. The sound quality itself is fine, but you might get annoyed with some of the game soundtracks. The sound is adjustable and mutable. Overall, I think this is a creative toy well worth the $25 I paid. It has some quirks, but it has some real quality as well.

Jurassic World Bitzee
You can feed and pet the dinosaurs, hatch eggs, battle. It's a pretty cool toy, it reminds me of the old school gigapet/tamagotchi pets.

Not the best
I don’t know if mines defective but the swipe bar does not work. It will not go to the main menu. It’s not the easiest to use but once you figure it out it’s ok. Overall I would not buy again

Fun and easy to use.
Love these bitzees. My grandsons both wanted a bitzee for Christmas. They also love dinosaurs. Having a bitzee dinosaur is perfect blend of both things they love. Now they need to make a unicorn one too. Keeps the kids occupied and is a fun way to teach the responsibility of having a pet without the mess. Highly recommend these.

Small learning curve. It’s fun. My 6yo loves his new Dino. Little sis (2yo) is learning how to interact with it too.
