  • A: It's a milky-clear color with red and fuscha markings throughout. *Please note: unless you own a record player, you're not going to be able to listen to the bonus track, "Come Over". And NO digital download was included! So instead of "you can look, but not touch", it's, "you can look, but not listen". Ironic!

  • A: The first issue of the whole album in each color that goes with each member has been released! I received my Jimin & Yoongi in their colors the day after release from Target pre-order to save as collectors item, now I need the deluxe! The most gorgeous pressing and packaging!

After being aware of and more casually into BTS's music over the past couple of years, this album and their long-awaited return has completely sent me over the edge into ARMY territory. The extras are well-done -- the vinyl itself is packaged in a vellum inner sleeve, and the photo cards, postcard booklet, lyrics, photo booklet, and poster are printed on quality paper that feels and smells good. The thick splatter slipmat is another fun touch. The record is sturdy, flat, gorgeous, and plays clearly without any pops or crackles. The inclusion of bonus song "Come Over," which has already appeared as part of the Arirang world tour setlist, was the deciding factor in purchasing this deluxe version vs. a bias variant (Jin, V, J-Hope, RM) or even the white/red/pink marble with an alternate black and white photo cover art. The only thing that was initially confusing is the hype sticker calls this black and white (which describes the photography), without noting that the vinyl is primarily red with black and white splatter. (The color deluxe variant features red and white splatter on clear vinyl with photos in color.) But slight seam splitting in the inner sleeve makes it possible to confirm the contents before purchasing. I have been blasting this nonstop since snagging my copy; the music is catchy, compelling, and relatable, especially lead single "Swim," "Normal" and "Merry-Go-Round," as someone a few years older than band members. I highly recommend this pressing as well as catching the concert livestreams (online or in cinemas), if not also in person.
