This is a really fantastic and moisturizing barrier cream. I destroyed my skin barrier with tretinoin and azelaic acid. This cream paired with the vegan ceramide wash SAVED me. I now use this religiously even though I don't use tretinoin or azelaic acid anymore. This does not leave a greasy feeling on your skin. I highly recommend it.

We live in Colorado, so when my skin gets dry it tends to stay dry. I was getting red, splotchy, dry patches around my mouth daily despite moisturizing 2-3 times a day. After one day of using the Pacifica barrier cream my skin irritation completely resolved. Thank you Pacifica!!

This inexpensive moisturizer works very well for my skin. I tend to be oily and acne prone. When I use this my skin is hydrated and balanced. I received my first as a sample. I have been buying it ever since. I also really appreciate the glass jar. I reuse it for all kinds of personal moisturizers I make.

It leaves the skin feeling super moisturized for hours! I definitely noticed this when I started using it, I compared it to the other brands I have tried and this is hands down the best! It is clean so is great for dry and sensitive skins and best of all is vegan/cruelty free.

I have rosacea-prone, VERY sensitive skin and this is one of the few moisturizers that does not irritate my skin. I was having lots of issues with irritation due to harsh Midwest winters and this immediately calmed my skin and prevented it from drying out. It is so calming and leaves my skin looking fresh and smooth without being oily. It also works really well over my various serums without pilling. I’m so happy I finally found the perfect moisturizer. Please never stop making this!!

My rosacea-prone skin loves this moisturizer! I did find that it pilled the first time I ever applied it, but I think it was because I had too many serums applied, and hadn’t let them absorb. I haven’t had an issue since, and I’m on my second jar. I do mix it with a little bit of lotion from the same brand/line - it seems to help it go on smoothly, and keep my skin plumped and moisturized. I also appreciate that it’s packaged in mostly glass, not plastic. Love it, and I hope that they keep making it.

    Burning, stinging, scaly skin

My skin burns and becomes scaly every time I use it. It has a weird smell, too. My husband uses it and his skin is fine, but I have genuinely extremely sensitive skin and this causes a rash on me and stings so bad for a week after I use it. I’ve used it twice, it doesn’t sink in to the skin and gives me an almost allergic reaction. If you have extremely sensitive skin, I highly advise against it.

I used this cream over a year, morning and night, and loved it. It was free of all of my allergens from North American 80 testing (and that’s not a small list). I have almost 100% allergy-triggered rosacea and over the last month I started having allergic pustules on my face. Random itching, rashes on my legs and arms… yesterday my face was actually burning (barrier had been compromised). I started grabbing all of my skincare products and reading labels. Well, the ingredients in this product have changed - it now contains ACRYLATES - listed as CARBOMER. The product has always had varying consistencies- one jar quite wet, next jar very firm. I would check labels and it would always contain the same ingredients. This time I guess I didn’t check the box after picking up at Target and using. Target hasn’t updated the ingredients list, neither has Pacifica. If you are sensitive to/allergic to acrylates beware (if acrylic nails, band aids, tapes, glues, sunscreens irritate you, you may be allergic to acrylates). I’m trying Naturium peptide cream as a replacement.

Saved my skin after 6 month long perioral dermatitis flare

atinylilwizard - 2 years ago, Verified purchaser
I have been fighitng a perioral dermatitis flare up around my chin, mouth, and nose for the last 6+ months. Still unsure what caused it, but I was trying EVERYTHING under the sun to try and get rid of it. In doing so, I made things much worse by over exfoliating and stripping my skin's barrier raw. Everything burned and irritated my skin for months. I kept researching and found that restoring the skin's barrier is the best thing to do, so I woudl wash my face with gentle soap and only apply Pacifica's Vegan Ceramide Barrier Face Cream day and night. Over the next 2-3 weeks my skin was finally back to normal. Can't recommend this stuff enough! I just wish it was a teeny bit cheaper but I won't complain!

Does not blend in well at all. It always leaves white streaks on my face. It doesn’t feel very moisturizing either. The One good thing is that this moisturizer caused no irritation or allergic reaction issues for my very sensitive skin

I accidently bought this product thinking it was their other face cream that used to come in a purple jar. This one is terrible. The texture is too firm and it doesn't go on nicely. Once on your skin it feels greasy yet my skin is still very dry. So disappointing.

This is ironically very drying. It has no slip to it. Very strange texture. The lotion is much nicer. It dried my skin out. I have mildly dry and sensitive skin. Not overly. And this seemed to dry it out and make it more sensitive! It seems thick. Has ceramides. But I’d like it’s made for oily skin!

ok first of all. this is a THICK cream. it comes out of the jar completely solid and paste like. it actually doesn't feel all that thick on my skin, which is good, but it doesn't do a great job moisturizing on its own, just locks in whatever is already there (my skin is dry btw; for oily skin it would probably be too thick). it does make my skin feel really nice and firm, i can feel it doing great things for my skin barrier. i'm gonna try the lotion next bc it's almost a holy grail.. but not quite.

This is for the barrier cream, NOT the lotion. I have used this product before and it was okay. It normally has a smooth and creamy consistency. This time upon opening the jar, the product was thick, hard, and paste-like. The jar itself had different labeling than what was pictured and it didn't seem like a legit Pacifica product. I thought maybe it was just a bad batch, but I'm reading other reviews with the same issue. I do not think this was a Target issue, it seems the company Pacfiica has gone downhill in terms of quality of their products and customer service, with a focus on 'being trendy'. I will not be purchasing any more products from this company. Target offers other much better quality and trustworthy brands.
