[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Took the Altec Lansing HydraWave Speaker to the beach yesterday ! ☀️🌊📻 It was easy to set up to Bluetooth and use right away. The volume goes up pretty high , I just didn’t want to be rude and do it at the beach 😅 I will definitely be using this while I clean & cook ! 😊 It says it’s waterproof so I’ll also be taking it to the pool . 😸

It floats in water and is waterproof so perfect for outside or the beach. It gets loud and has good bass on it!! Super easy to set up and it’s very well made and durable. Very affordable too !

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Hydrawave is amazing! I am going on a trip to Mexico on the water so this came just in time. It’s everything proof I tried it out in the pool at my place and it is loud,it floats and you can attach it to anything! It has all the cables you need. It’s really cool how it can pair up with other devices. I was able to connect to three other peoples devices and we were all playing the same music at the same time. It was really cool.

The sound quality it’s so nice and loud, I love it for house parties or taking it to my pool since I can put it in the water and have the music follow me and the battery lasts so log!! I haven’t charged it since I got it and it has a wide range connectivity. I love it!

It is water proof which is perfect for days by the pool or at the beach. The sound is so loud for its size. I was impressed. It took 2 seconds to connect to my phone with any difficulties

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This speaker is a good option if you’re wanting something to bring music to risky events and activities. At the beach, on a boat, or by the pool. If you’re on a construction site and can have music this is a good choice since it’s very durable. If you’re someone that likes to strap a speaker to your bike this could be a good option. For all those uses I would think most people would want an inexpensive option that works and is durable for that random chance it might break or get lost in a river. The volume can get pretty loud on it so you can use it close range or far range. The pairing process was very easy. I simply turned it on with the power button and it appeared as an option under Bluetooth on my iPad. The naming of the device was intuitive to know which device I needed to select. I really was impressed by how seamless the Bluetooth experience was since some cheaper electronics can be a pain to pair. The only user interface aspect I don’t like is that I can’t figure out how to tell what percentage the battery is. I also can’t speak to how quickly the battery drains or what activities drain it more since I can’t monitor the battery drain rate. I tried this speaker with a variety of music genres, volumes, and tones. I noticed for quiet songs there is a noticeable hissing that you can hear if you’re sitting next to the speaker. Also songs with subtle details or lots of layers can get a little muddy sounding. Rock music sounded the best on it but I think that genre is forgiving to the poorest of speakers. Vocals are much more prominent than other aspects of songs making it harder to hear the music alongside the vocals. If I were looking for a speaker to use for everyday listening at my house I would not choose this. For just a little more money you can get a much better speaker for listening purposes. This product really is for those wanting music in extreme environments. The design focuses on durability rather than audio quality. For me this is one to bring on the boat. It’s also perfect for this purpose since it floats! No worry if you drop it in unless a strong current pulls it away. The accessories with it were neat. I don’t know that all were necessary but I’ll take them. I do wish the charger was C to C. This rating is considering the purpose of this speaker and its price. It is very light weight.

There is a noticeable difference from this device and my other ones, and this one sounds distorted. Could be because it's supposed to be waterproof? Either way, will be using this out by the water since it does get loud.

The sound quality is ridiculous better than ones I paid double for - has a little mount to carry and attach along your ways IT FLOATS - so when you’re out on the lake or the pool. Wait there is more you can link multiple together - that runs on my Bluetooth- talk about having fun party. Absolutely a must have

It plays up to 12hours, also waterproof and floats in water. It is easy to connect, very quick. For someone who loves travelling like me it’s a very good speaker and can’t wait to bring it to places with me. It came also with the Bungee cord and mountable pieces. Definitely recommend.

There are so many options for where to place/carry/hang this speaker with the way it's designed. Useful no matter where you are! Battery life seems good, haven't run out yet! I will say the speakers feel a little less than durible, but that might just be me overly worried over it. Decent sound quality,. Too. You get what you pay for in a lovely, versatile case. Love it!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve seen lots of negative reviews of the Altec Lansing Hydramini and Hydrawave speakers (the latter is a larger version of the former), but that hasn’t been my experience. The speaker sound is more than adequate, loud and distinct although at higher volumes it loses a bit of clarity in the treble. It is truly durable as they claim - I don’t think dust, sand or water could penetrate the well-built case, but I haven’t totally submerged it to test the proposition. I could easily envision using this at the beach or pool for the day. You can attach it to a backpack with the carabiner clip provided, so it’s also suitable for a hike. I’ve included a photo of the speaker next to a wine bottle to give a sense of its size - not as tiny as the mini, but small enough to use almost anywhere. It also has a robust pairing mode that allows you to sync it up with other compatible speakers, and it delivers on the promise of roughly 12 hours of battery life, so you can rely on its power for a full day. I have enjoyed using it; got it as a promo for review, but at this price point I’d absolutely buy another one. I’m sure there are speakers that have better sound quality, but they’d be way more expensive and no guarantee you’d get much better for the money.

It has a 12 hour battery life, a speaker mount and carabiner clip and bungee cord for on the go music. Additionally, the speaker is waterproof and floats, which is perfect for a day at the lake or beach, boating and fishing trips. The sound is powerful with good bass and was perfect to use when listening to music on the patio. I plan on taking it with me on bike rides next!

For years I have been trying to come up with a good speaker solution while riding my ebike, this one came with the perfect mount setup right outta the box! Previously I would just use a bunch of cheap knock off speakers from Amazon, now I know what I was missing the whole time. It’s true what they say; buy once, cry once!

I would like to add that it’s not the best sound compared to brands like BOSE, but it will do the job I love that it came with bungee cord and hook to keep it attached when hiking. The battery life is excellent as well.
