100% Organic Cotton Pillowcase Set - 300 Thread Count Percale, GOTS Certified - California Design Den

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received the California Design Den 100% Organic Cotton Pillow Cases (set of 2). My initial reaction was that the fabric wasn't as soft as I expected since they are cotton. The packaging suggests washing them before using, which I did. The fabric wasn't as rigid and was definitely softer after washing. The fabric didn't pill either. The pillow cases fit my king size pillows perfectly. I do prefer white pillow cases, but these are a nice shade of Ivory and are almost bone colored. I would purchase them again.

I have never used organic cotton in my bedding and I must admit that I did feel a difference. The fabric is very soft and smooth, as well as breathable. It somehow felt cooler than my regular pillow cases. I was very please with this product and would be happy to recommend them.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My package arrived and when I opened it, I found a very nice brightly colored cardboard box, with all the company's certifications clearly stated. The pillowcases themselves were neatly wrapped in tissue paper. I opened the tissue paper, and immediately felt the material. At first touch, they felt amazing. They were soft and felt very nice right out of the package. These pillow cases are not thick but not too thin. I was ready to try them and put them to the test. They are wrinkle-resistant but that's not something I'm too concerned about. My concern was that after a few washings they might get ruined. I can tell you I washed them 3 times and they are still holding. They had a little bit of static electricity when I took them out of the dryer but manageable.I will look into buying other items from the company and recommend them to my friends as it looks like they also have a 30 day return policy. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] A nice, somewhat thick pillowcase. it is well-made, easy to use, as well as wash and reuse with better results as far as softening more without shrinkage. Love that it's organic Cotton too! Craftsmanship and quality are an added plus to this pair of covers as all. At first usage they did have awkward scent but got better over first wash -

They are a bit stiff direct out of the package, but it is nothing that can't be fixed by a quick wash and dry. The fabric is nice, smooth, and I found stayed cool while sleeping. I woke up refreshed and had a great night's rest.

The packaging was beautiful, the color ivory was beautiful and the case themselves were soft. The issue I have was with after washing. The seams frayed about 3-4 inches of thread every couple millimeters down the whole case. I washed according to the directions and was disappointed to see how poorly they held up. It's a a shame because the set is very soft after washing.

Unfortunately, the pillow cases came out extremely wrinkled even though I do not overdry my laundry. Overall their softness improved with washing but the wrinkles is a deal breaker for me in terms of buying these pillow cases/sheets. I will wash again and try to take them out of the dryer quicker to see if that improves their looks as I do not ever iron!

I did like the natural ivory color - as it goes with all decor types. However, I would not recommend these pillowcases due to the way they feel a little stiff and not very soft.
