A: I followed directions I found on YouTube which showed me how to use a screwdriver and hammer to open the hole at the top of the tank to release all of the helium entirely. Then you use a permanent marker to circle the opened hole and write "empty" next to it and then I just put it in my regular recycle bins which get picked up bi-weekly.

I've used the tank for 2 parties several months apart simply by making sure the valve is tightly closed. Once the balloons are inflated I would say they don't last quite as long as the ones you would get at a party store, but who needs balloons hanging around for 3 weeks anyway? They last at least a few days and as much as a week in my experience. I have used the tank to inflate balloons for the day of my children's birthday and then if their party happens to be a week later, I've used the tank on party day to add a little more helium in them to keep them looking fresh and new.
