I normally get a helium tank for balloons at my local party supply store but I didn’t have time to go pick one up before heading out of town to celebrate our son’s birthday. I picked this up at Target before leaving for our trip. I was a bit nervous because of the bad reviews on this tank. Thankfully, I was pleasantly surprised by how well it worked! It was easy to use & inflated all my latex & mylar balloons beautifully! I think the poor reviews may be coming from users who have never used a helium tank before. There is a bit of a learning curve, so if you’ve never used a helium tank before, my recommendation would be to rent a tank from a party supply store & have them show you how to inflate your balloons properly. If you have experience with helium tanks, this one will work just fine.

I’ve purchased balloon time helium tanks for years— every single birthday party and party in my house hold I’ve gotten tanks… unfortunately they aren’t the same anymore I blew up a small star and it didn’t float not even a little. What did I just pay $55 for? Air… to say I’m upset is the least. To top the cake I set up balloons for my kids birthdays every year we make the breakfast and enjoy this small tradition I have with them.. well my sons giant 3 balloon along with a few foil balloons are laying in my floor.. shall I hang them from the ceiling instead… cool!

Balloons DO NOT stay afloat!
The actual amount of helium in this tank is not great, it is mixed with air so balloons barely get off the ground and DO NOT stay afloat for very long. It's a waste of money. Mylar balloons have to be very small and latex ones have to be very thin to get them off the ground.

Not sure why reviews are so poor with this. We used it today for my children’s birthdays and it worked perfectly. Balloons lasted all day as we wanted them to. A little pricey, but ordering and picking up helium balloons can be a pain so it’s worth the convenience for me. Will buy again!

Latex balloons lasted maybe an hour. Started falling before guests arrived and were on the floor before the party was over. Party was for two year old and was only 4 hours long. Mylar/ foil balloons lasted a few hours longer/ through the party.
