A: The protective glaze is thick enough that the decorative carving is not deep at all so these are not hard to clean nor would they chip. It’s just deep enough to give them gorgeous texture but not like little canals so to speak. I am thrilled with my new set!

If you are considering these dishes, do it! I was a bit skeptical about purchasing a set online without seeing it in person but I am obsessed. The color and detail are beautiful. One thing to keep in mind though - the design is textured so I could see them being a pain to clean if left sitting too long without a rinse.

Beautiful dishes
Packed carefully, none were chipped or damaged at all. Glaze is even, plates and design are consistent and complete. Design on all pieces is slightly raised an indented, which adds a great texture to the dishes. I bought a set of 4 (16 pieces total) and if it holds up to daily wear, I'll buy another box to complete the set.

Quality Control Issue
I purchased two sets of these plates so I’d have service for 8. However, the sets were too different to use together. One set is darker, and almost over-glazed. The grooves in the design were pooled with dark color. The second set appears to have been made as they were running out of color. It’s lighter with noticeable streaks that have white showing through. Really disappointing because I don’t know which is “correct” in order to return one set. If I return the darker, will I get another set that’s light, or vice versa?

The dishware ware was better than expected. The blue as seen in the Target ad. The embosed areas gave a beautiful effect. They are of a solid material so if does feel flimsy or to fragile. Also was wonderful that they are dishwasher/micowave. Though the packing of the items left something to be desired. Though the box saw stable and firm the tape was beyond old seemed to be heat/age damaged. If they had retaped Or double taped it. No matter the product arrived, nothing was damaged
