Q: I purchased a Threshold Aruba in White Linen in a local Target. Is this the same color as Sour Cream?

submitted by MountainMama - 8 years ago
  • A: I purchased 8 sour cream panels to be shipped to my home. 4 were sour cream and 4 were white linen. The white linen panels are lighter than the sour cream panels, although they are close. Also, the white linen panels were obviously second hand - they were poorly repackaged and smelled like someone's home. :(

submitted byleh - 6 years ago
  • A: Yes, they are the same color. I compared the item numbers from the package of the in-store White Linen with the Sour Cream online, and they are the same. Also: what I notice is that when the curtains are hung and the light is behind them, the blackout lining makes the otherwise off-white color of the White Linen/Sour Cream curtains seem a bit more gray-white. Still looks good, but it alters the tone just a bit.

submitted byJR - 7 years ago
  • A: White linen and sour cream are the same curtain in the Aruba line. However, it’s not a true white.

submitted byJKM - 7 years ago
  • A: Hi MountainMama - These versatile curtains will dress up any space in your home! The curtains in Sour Cream, or white, are a great neutral that will pair nicely with any color pillows, decorations, or wall decor. Thanks for stopping by! - Alli

  • A: I believe so. I ordered the "Sour Cream" panels online and all the panels I received are labeled white. They are however an off-white color, not a true white.

    submitted byKari P - 4 years ago
  • A: They are being sold as the same color but the white linen is lighter than sour cream. I purchased sour cream (96 inch) in the store and then ordered sour cream 108 inch online. I received white linen (same barcode as sour cream) but looking at them side by side the white linen is definitely lighter.

submitted byKrisabra - 2 years ago
  • A: The numbers are different when I compared online to in store-i think the white linen is not as white as sour cream

submitted byBeachmom - 6 years ago
  • A: Although very close, sour cream and white are two different colors. Sour cream is like an off white. - Jocelyn

  • A: White/Sour Cream are NOT the same color. The white UPC online is differnt than the white tag i have on my curtains. I went to order more, and was sent "white" but the UPC online is for Sour Cream.

Q: i purchased these in sour cream and i love them.. they have A richness too them...can they be taken to dry cleaners and dry cleaned?

submitted by SPARKLES1 - 3 years ago
  • A: Hello Sparkles 1 - We are happy to hear you love your Blackout Aruba Linen Window panels. We love them too. No need to take to the dry cleaners, Care & Cleaning: Iron as Needed, Wash With Like Colors, Machine Dry, Machine Wash. Enjoy!! - Theresa

  • A: Same answer as another person - they machine wash very well. I tumble dry on low to get some of the dampness out and then hang to dry

submitted byMena - 7 months ago
  • A: Old question but in case anyone wants to know, I have several of these and have washed them multiple times over several years and they are good as new.

Q: Is this a back tab curtain

submitted by vicki - 3 years ago
  • A: As the "At a Glance" section of the description states, they are both rod pocket AND back tab. 😊

submitted byProverbwoman - 2 years ago
  • A: Yes! These curtains have both back tabs and a rod pocket.

Q: Are these curtains lined, or have a backing to the woven fabric?

submitted by the shopper out back - 8 years ago
  • A: I think they have changed them. I just bought them in late 2024 and there is no seperate lining; the backing of the fabric has a coating to help filter out light but not a lining per se.

submitted byRK - 1 year ago
  • A: Hi the shopper out back – Thanks for looking at our curtain collection. Here is the details on this curtain panel. It is made with a subtly textured fabric and a solid-colored design for a pop of modest style. It is 74% polyester, 18” cotton, and 8% rayon. There is nothing wove into the back of this panel. I hope this helps. – Anita

  • A: yes these curtains are supposed to be lined in a white fabric.

submitted bygigi - 7 years ago
  • A: I ordered two of these panels and received them in different shipments. One of them is fully lined, one is not. They are two very different products with the exact same product and UPC codes on them.

submitted bydawn - 7 years ago
  • A: These are a linen fabric lined, not coated, with a white blackout fabric.

submitted by Ally - 4 years ago
  • A: Hello - Great question! Yes, the same color front and back. Thank you. - Kay

submitted byKay - 4 years ago
    Target staff support
  • A: No, the lining on back looks different from the front. The only downside to these curtains is the length is inconsistent, which is very noticeable when you hang them together.

submitted byRK - 1 year ago
  • A: NO, there is a greyish-white lining that shows on the back.

submitted byJenFace - 4 years ago
  • A: No, there is a white coating on the back of the fabric to make them room-darkening. It is not a seperate lining, but something made in the backing of the fabric.

Q: Its the price for one panel or two? and the size is it for each panel or both? cant see this on the discription.

submitted by Juan - 5 years ago
  • A: It comes with one panel.

submitted byStephanie - 4 years ago
  • A: Hi Juan – Great question! This beautiful panel is sure to add the perfect touch to your indoor space! These curtain panels come in a set of one. The overall dimensions of each panel are 84 Inches (L), 50 Inches (W). I hope they looks amazing in your space! – Keacia

submitted byKeacia - 5 years ago
    Target staff support
  • A: If it was two panels it would say that - in the description at the top and in the description of the items. Also this width would never be for two panels. I hope that helps you for future curtain shopping. The word panel is different from the word pair.

submitted byMena - 7 months ago
  • A: One curtain per pack. I ordered 2 of the same thing but one is at least an inch shorter than the other so they do not look good.

submitted byRK - 1 year ago

Q: Do they shrink when machine washed?

submitted by DobsonManor - 7 years ago
  • A: Yes, they shrank 1-3" in length or started out shorter than 84#. The outside shrank in width too but not the white liner inside.

submitted byPenny - 7 years ago
  • A: Hi DobsonManor - Great question! We recommend following the care instructions closely to avoid shrinkage when washing. Thanks for checking out our Threshold™ curtain options. - Alli

submitted byAlli - 7 years ago
    Target staff support
  • A: Mine have never shrunk, I wash in cold adn dry on low for a short time and then hang

submitted byMena - 1 year ago
  • A: Not sure if they shrink bc we haven't washed them, but ours came shorter than advertised, and every panel was a different length such that they could not be hung together on same window.

Q: Are Sour Cream and White the same color??? Conflicting comments. "Although very close, sour cream and white are different colors." and "Sour Cream listed online ... same as White Linen" Which is it???

submitted by Confused - 3 years ago

submitted byMichelle - 3 years ago

  • A: They are being sold as the same color but they are definitely different. White linen is lighter than Sour Cream. Also white linen is not a true white, more off white.

submitted byKrisabra - 2 years ago
  • A: Trying to buy these curtains is crazy - I bought Aruba White 50x84 2 weeks ago and went back for another set today. Now the 50 x 84 color choices are Off White, Cream, or Sour Cream. How on earth to determine correct color to match original purchase. But they do have White color in 50 x 63”. Really bizarre and frustrating!

submitted by Kay - 4 years ago
  • A: how did you attach the drapery hook? there are no loops or opening for the drapery hook.

More room darkening than 100% blackout

We were looking for white linen-like, blackout curtains. We liked the weave of this fabric, and the linen look. Blackout meant sold. Fulfilling the order of four panels took over a week. We hung the next day we received them, which was a sunny day. With a blackout shade already in the window, we proved that the curtains are not 100% blackout. That said, we do think the white looks great against the soft white colored walls, for the coastal look. And the room darkening curtains with the blackout shade will work. But still, we wanted 100% blackout for this room. The panels are fortunately all the same length. We hung these curtains with Target's Threshold curtain ring clips, and needed double the rings (14, not 7) due to the weight of each panel. We are satisfied with the price point, color, fabric look, and the accuracy of the panel length. The curtains really are room darkening, but not blackout.

Frustrated with inconsistent labeling and light filtration

These curtains look very nice, but they are definitely not 100% blackout as the packaging claims; some light still filters through. My biggest issue, however, is the labeling. I’ve had to go back to the store four times now because the labels are incredibly misleading. I bought a few sets initially and went back for more, but even though the labels were identical, the color tone was noticeably different. It’s also very confusing that the product names online don't match the names in-store. I’m still missing two panels to finish my room because I can't find a matching set, even when bringing a physical sample with me. This has been a very frustrating experience.

Poor quality control, one panel is 2.5 inches too short

I bought two of the same panels, one is about 2 and a half inches shorter than it should be so they don’t line up next to each other on the rod. They’re also not blackout, they’re room darkening. I’d return them if I didn’t have to drive an hour and a half to my closest Target to do it.

    NOT blackout

I can't believe I didn't at the review pictures.. these are NOT blackout !! I'm so annoyed because I've been trying to find 108in curtains for my daughter's room & have had trouble finding a fabric I liked. Very happy when I pulled these out of the package because I really like the fabric! But because they are just room darkening, they let it too much light in the morning and it's very overcast this morning. So the hunt continues.

    Great Curtain Panels

These curtains appear way more high end than their cost. They are true blackout. Love them. Only small issue is that the width is 48” vs the 50” as advertised - at least the ones sent to me.

The qualities is good. Insulation is good. They do their job is black out in the room for me..

So the plush picture looks a little bit more lighter than the curtain itself however, it's a pretty color. One is 3 to 4 inches long and anyother one that I ordered.. as far as blackout, you do see the sun against the curtain however it does dark in the room. I have a pair and white from targetand they're pretty good. The only problem I got is one as longer than any other otherwise I was happy with it.. so here we got to return it.. The room is darker though acceptable to me...

    Not exactly blackout curtains.

These are not blackout if you ask me. I ordered the stone colored grey ones which look dark enough online, and looked… grey online. When they arrived they didn’t look grey. They looked brownish and my room was still bright as can be.
