Q: Are they scratch resistant? My other plates by Hearth and Hand scratch like crazy!

A: Yes, these are scratch-resistant, but you should still be careful. These are gloss on the inside and matte on the outside. Hearth and Hand’s matte (flat) surfaces are the ones that scratch, while the gloss (shiny) surfaces don’t as much. Mine are scratch-free, but that’s also because I make sure not to use sharp utensils and make extra sure I don’t bang them into anything. You also need to be OK with the color gray, because no Hearth and Hand dishes are ever “cream” or “sour cream” — they’re gray.

I’ve had these bowls for a week. Two of them have cracked within 35 seconds in the microwave although they claim to be microwave safe. It’s ridiculous when they’re $10 a bowl.

I placed an order for this 4pk of scalloped bowls during the Target week sale. When the first order arrived only ONE bowl was delivered, it was packaged nicely but still, only 1 bowl instead of 4..... Called for a replacement, customer service was lovely and they reordered me a new 4pk set. Order just arrived today and strangely there is only ONE bowl delivered again!!!! What on earth is going on! Called customer service and they said they can only issue a replacement for an order 2x so they have credited me back the original amount. That is appreciated but now I am still missing 2 bowls. My only option now is to attempt again to place a new order myself and hope someone in the warehouse is actually paying attention and will send me 1 -4pk set of scalloped bowls instead of 1 singular bowl! LOL I have no words for the incompetence even if I find it hysterical each time I have opened the box and found only 1 bowl!

I replaced our 10 year old everyday use bowls with these and I love them! My family and I use them everyday and we wash them in the dishwasher. These are large bowls perfect for dinners, but a little large for cereal.

These bowls have been great! We eat a lot of meals with rice/pasta. These are the perfect alternative to having a bowl on a plate. They are thick and have yet to stain or scratch. They wash well in the dishwasher too!

These are BEAUTIFUL! I was super hesitant to order these online after reading the reviews where many people received broken dishes. I received them today and they were packaged so well! I ordered 8 different plates total, 2 wine glasses, and a 12 piece drink ware set & they all were shipped perfectly! 22 breakable items and they arrived with no chips, cracks, or breakage! I was hesitant to order based off the reviews, but I’m so glad I took the risk! They are beautiful! I love the lip that these plates have on them! I use them for soup in the fall as well!

arrived broken , just like everything i purchased. like seriously do better . someone could have nothing to look forward to, and then the items they saved for, and looked forward to opening , arrive all broken . just like my dreams . like i’m so sad now. The plates are beautiful but I did not like the experience I had having it shipped. At the time of my first order, they didn’t have the Set of 4 available so I bought individually for all the plates and bowls. My first delivery half of the order came broken and there was no warning label on the box to handle with care. I placed another order and this time I contacted customer service through chat to let them know what happened on my first order and wanted perhaps a “ fragile” “ handle with care” “breakable” something to warn the delivery person. I was assured it wouldn’t happen again but once again one of the plates arrived broken and it is being disappointing that now the pasta bowl is sold out! so here I am with 3 pasta bowls left.

I love my new Scalloped Edge Stoneware Pasta/Grain Bowl! It makes any plain pasta dish feel like a fancy meal! The 25oz size is perfect for holding pasta w/sauce or even a large fresh salad as a meal. The scalloped edge is just lovely and the light cream color is perfect to show off a simple red sauce, or as a background for lots of colorful veggies!

These scalloped dishes were packed amazingly well and arrived in perfect shape. They are a whiteish gray look to me and have some speckling which looks really nice. They stack well and are good and sturdy. I used them for grill outs to lie out toppings for burgers and they work well as a shallow bowl with a good amount of flatness at the bottom.

Decent dish that's in between a bowl and a plate. Perfect for grains or other scoopable meals, or just as a decorative display for some fruits. Feels substantial and not cheap. Easy to wash. I like the neutral color of the dish as well.
