Beautiful lamp with lovely large shade. Very elegant design, and sturdy enough to have with young children. Description says rotary light switch, but has floor switch (pushed with foot). The cord is clear and hangs from the center of the base. Would prefer that it ran through inside of one leg and came out near the bottom, but wrapping the cord around one lamp leg makes it less noticeable.
