The lighting source is just string lights, which settled to the bottom leaving most of the globe unilluminated. Shape is not a true globe as the bottom is flat.

It's made of very thick glass, and the lights are a super soft yellow-white color. Every time I have company over, they compliment me on my garden decor and the Glass Gazing Globe, specifically. So warm and inviting!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The best thing about the Alpine Globe is that it can be used indoor as a beautiful decor piece or outdoor for some extra lighting. It's very versatile I choose to use mines as a added decor piece on my bed room. Perfect size not to big but not to small, it would have been amazing if it, wasn't battery operated so you'll have to replace the batteries. It has a switch that will automatically turn the globe off after a few hours which is Awesome.

My kids always beg to be the one to turn it on when it is time to go outside. We enjoy looking at once we're back inside the house watching it providing a soft glow on the patio without attracting the moths and other flying insects a regular light does.

With the lights on there's a whole new dimension. I didn't place this outside but brought the beauty indoors. I have it, on a tall stand, above some plants. During the day, it reminds me of sunshine. Lights at night give such a sense of calm. It resonates, almost a mystical beauty,like there is no corner or wall.

I’m using it for indoor at the moment for a center piece on an entry way table because my hall way has no light and this globe has added Such a good accent to it. Definitely added the light we needed for night. It’s so beautiful I love the colors on it. When it gets a little more warm I will adding it outside along with more globes to decorate my backyard.

It is so beautiful when the sun shines on it and when you turn on the light of the globe at night it gives it an even better look than this picture. I have the globe in the house and using it as a nightlight. I was hoping to have it in my garden, but it is not solar and uses batteries.
