Q: I am wanting to paint on the bowl using glass acrylic paint. It has to be baked in the oven after painting to ensure it doesn’t come off when washed. Is this safe for the regular oven, not asking about a microwave.

Just like in the other recent review, our bowl just randomly exploded in the kitchen. I would not recommend buying it after that experience. We never washed it with hot water and always hand washed it. Luckily our little kids weren’t in the kitchen at the time. Very dangerous and poor quality.

Should come with a warning. I purchased for thanksgiving day, and immediately after washing it in hot water, I set it down and no exaggeration - it exploded like a detonated bomb. I had family and guests over and it ruined our Thanksgiving dinner. Glass flew everywhere, from big chunks to tiny shards. It was extremely dangerous for everyone around! I wish I took pictures but we were all in shock and had to spring into action to clean up all the glass all over my kitchen. A traumatic experience. I’ve never seen or had that happen before. Lawsuit waiting to happen. Buyer beware. This needs to be recalled.

It’s a beautiful bowl, but caution it’s SUPER fragile. Accidentally dropped it and it shattered into a BILLION pieces. I’m talking like snowflake size pieces. It was like the crumbs at the bottom of the potato chip bag. Everywhere. Cleaning the kitchen took over an hour and I’m pretty sure I’ll be getting stuck with teeny tiny shards in my finger tips for weeks. If you have little ones or pets, be VERY careful.
