A: I was having this exact same issue (just got the camcorder too.) What fixed it for me was flipping the battery upside down! 😂 apparently the camcorder turns on even if the battery is inserted, when it’s plugged in. But once unplugged, it would just turn off because the battery was in the wrong way. Once I flipped it around, it came right on perfectly! Sharing just in case anyone else is scrolling looking for the same answer
