About the Author

Shantanu Rai is the pseudonym of a free clinic doctor who practices in a largely uninsured, immigrant community. He completed his medical degree from Johns Hopkins and has practiced medicine in East Baltimore, the South Side of Chicago, and Washington, DC. Inspired by his tweet about doctors who struggle to provide high-quality care for underserved patients in the world's richest country, A Dangerous Diagnosis is his first novel.
