AeroPress XL Coffee Press: Large Manual Coffee Maker with Paper Filters, 20 oz Capacity, Gray

I've had an Aeropress for many years. When I saw the XL I bought it the first time it went on sale. I love it when it works because you get a healthy serving of really good coffee.  And the cleanup is a million times easier than a French press. BUT... I detest it when it doesn't work right; which I'd say on average is for me is about 15 -20% of the time. I've been fiddling around with this thing for a year trying to assure a good seal around the filter to avoid grounds seeping through.  This was a very rare occurrence with the regular Aeropress and if it did it was just a small amount of grounds. With the XL, even with fastidious filter placement, it can blow out a 1/3 to 1/2 of its grounds with no provocation before it's even time to press. The bottom line: it's not me, it's the engineering.  I feel comfortable saying this because I've used it most days of the week for a year, and I've used the My original Aeropress for several more years than that. The filter is just not quite wide enough in diameter and probably not quite thick enough.  I know Aeropress has a metal reusable filter for their Original, but last I checked there is not one for the XL.  Aeropress, please for the love of the coffee god, come up with a fix for this!

I was really excited to try this however mine clearly came previously used with water stains on the rubber damper and an odd smell

I was hestitant at first, but loving the AeroPress Original made me buy this. I won't go back! This is my go-to coffee maker for me and my wife, especially when we travel. The Tritan carafe is a great addition too, as I didn't have a mug or server big enough to fit the XL.

Loved using it! Making cold brew was a breeze, and storing it in the fridge was great. Could easily see myself taking it on vacation or extended stays somewhere so my boyfriend can make his pour over.

I’m a big fan! I had always wanted to try AeroPress and am glad I finally got to. It’s so quick and easy and makes such a delicious cup of coffee. Time to retire my traditional French press!

I love this size of the aeropress, as it is perfect for two people. Will definitely be using it this summer while on camping trips! I am so impressed with the taste difference and will never go back to a typical french press!

I love the convince and ease of this product. I love a good latte and this product has provided me a well made latte anytime I want one. It’s easy to travel with and it’s also convenient at home without having a large appliance.

Small box but mighty in taste like that it’s very simple and the light foam is my favorite part wasn’t too much if the flavor is to over powering you can always add more water but over all it’s very good highly recommend

This is a larger version of the original AeroPress and is very welcome. It is very easy to use and clean up, but we always wanted to be able to make more if necessary and now we can. We are looking forward to taking this out on the road with us this summer.

We have the original ap coffee maker and were excited when they came out with this larger size. Now we can both have our coffee at the same time in the morning when we are traveling and don't have time to wait to brew 2 cups. It is just as easy to clean as the original too.

This is super easy to use and worked great on the first try! I tried the cold brew method and it was pretty tasty. I am looking forward to taking this campign to appreciate it even more!

I was excited to try this and it met all expectations. I read the instructions and it was easy to get started. The coffee is great and probably better than any I have made. The second best part besides the coffee is that it is easy to clean up.

I enjoyed this product! It's easy to use and space-efficient. I just wish I could make a true espresso with this for things like lattes. If you want to make more complicated drinks rather than black coffee, you'll need more accessories which can be a hassle. But this is great for your everyday coffee drinker.

I absolutely love this! It is so easy to use and the coffee tastes incredible. I will definitely be traveling with it, too. It takes up very little counter space so this could be a great alternative for someone who doesn't have space for a coffee pot. And it's so easy to clean! I know I'll be gifting one of these to a coffee loving bestie soon!

I love the size of this AeroPress. My husband and I definitely drink more than your standard 8 oz, and this was plenty for both of us. It even comes with a spouted container to press into, so it’s perfect to share and pour as much or as little as you like. The brew is super smooth, and takes no time at all. It’s a no-brained to use, and even easier to clean! I’m keeping one of these at home, and another in with our camping gear. Don’t know how we got through mornings without it!!

This creates a really nice shot of espresso similar to what my expensive espresso machine creates. It’s going to be perfect for travel since I don’t like drip coffee.

Great for a few cups of coffee on the go. I like the AeroPress clear better for espresso. Overall a good product though!

We love this XL version of the original AP maker. I can make as much as I need each day or make 2 cups for someone else. The flavor is as good, if not better, than a coffee shop so you can save tons of money even if you don't need to take it with you on trips, etc.
