Aidells Chicken & Apple Smoked Chicken Sausage - 12oz/4ct

As other reviewers have pointed out the casing on these sausages is not pleasant to eat. I I would say it is akin to eating crispy plastic or paper. I cooked the chicken-apple flavor sausage on a grill. I will try skinning them next and the simmer in water method to use up my first purchase. Will be my last purchase as I am accustomed to grilling no prep casing-on sausage. Disappointing, as the meat tastes pretty darn good in an all natural product.

I have eaten this specific sausage almost weekly since I was about 6 years old (I'm 26 now). It has never failed me! So flavorful, but not overly sweet. It's a staple in my household, and I fear I will never get tired of it. I've recently branched out to the other flavors and have loved them, too! This one is #1, though.

I’ve already tried many other types of sausages like this but sorry to say that this particular product is not in the quality for the price I paid for it… cooked to instructions on the package even though I know how to cook this type, but the casings were so chewy and hard after cooking them 2 different ways…. I will be returning this and I’ve seen others with the same opinions and comments…. Too bad…

These are supposed to be fully cooked out of the packed I baked them for about 20 mins and they were still pink inside major turnoff

Even though they taste great, I am done with them due to the impossible packaging. Does not pull open like most other similar products, and knife, scissors, etc, are still almost impossible without slicing my fingers. By far the worst packaging I've ever come across! Hard to believe they have not improved it - if they need help, they should look at a Hillshire Farms smoked sausage package!

I have been eating these sausages for years and they're always tasty and yummy and casings always softened up when I cooked them on the stove. My latest batch (from Costco) is extremely tough and grizzley bits (which my dog enjoys thoroughly). They also seem a bit less flavorful than my previous purchases . Please bring back the soft casings, seasonings, and be a bit more careful about what's getting into your product.

I am a creature of habit and I eat one of these sausages every morning with cottage cheese. Delicious

I’m not gonna lie. I was very skeptical of these chicken and apple smoked chicken sausages but they’re actually great. They were so yummy. I loved how they’re packaged individually so the other ones don’t ruin. I paired mine with some sugar-free barbecue sauce and Yum.!!

I just found a CHICKEN FEATHER in my sausage . I am a breastfeeding new momma and this just DISGUSTS me . I need someone to contact me asap about this .

Ok, second review, so happy to find this chicken and apple sausage, Love everything about it and now I can have it with buckwheat pancakes so much more healthy, how about a little microwavable container with pancakes or waffles, yes, ( buckwheat), thanks for the great product.

WARNING: The chicken sausages are stuffed into pork bellies. They are not vegetarian. There are other ways to stuff the sausage into vegetarian casings. I am outraged at the lack of acknowledgement of this fact.

Couldn't get past the casing. Wasn't able to remove it and couldn't chew it.

Weird texture , wanted to like this… but I also found bone in one of the sausages. Kinda scary when you have kids eating this !! Very gross

This is the best sausage imo! So so yummy and target always has a sale on it.

I was very scared of buying this in the quantity I did (from a wholesaler) but then when I bit into one I was assured of the quality and the product. I did get a tiny bit of hard ?gristle/bone? but it wasn't as bad as the reviews stated. I am also hoping not to get feathers but that's an unfortunate fact of life when you buy chicken, even fresh chicken thighs. Regardless the taste and texture are both great and I checked it by quartering each link

Aidells Chicken & Apple Smoked Chicken Sausage is delicious and versatile for quick meals like fried rice, omelets, or cut in half and put in hot dog buns. However, I wish it had a ziplock seal for easier opening, as I only eat one at a time due to its high sodium content.

Bone fragment which in turn chipped my tooth. Need better food inspection.

Been keeping these stocked in my fridge for years! My favorite way to have them is sliced up and pan fried with some healthy snacky sides like fruit or cheese and veggies for a simple “girl dinner.” They are easy and quick since they are fully cooked you can microwave them if you don’t feel like cooking but want something quick protein. I’ve also added them to pasta with pesto and toasted pine nuts. Good shelf life and you can just open one at a time to keep the rest in the original packaging if you’re just feeding yourself throughout the week
