Description

The Ampeg Rocket Bass 115 is a 200-watt combo amp with headroom for medium-sized venues up to 1,000 capacity. Weighing 34 pounds, it has enough mass for thick bass lines, but it's not so impossibly heavy that can't pull it out of the band van. This versatile combo has an effects loop, overdrive, 3-band EQ and more. Read on to find out if the Rocket 115 is a bass amp that fits bill. Power and Performance The 115 features 200 watts of solid-state power, making it the right size to rock almost anything indoors. It sports a custom Eminence 15" speaker; porting in the back of the amp provides an extended bass response for a deeper tone. Shape Sound The RB-115 includes Ampeg's Legacy preamp with 3-band EQ, allowing to tweak bass, mid-range and treble with precision. The Ultra High switch boosts the 8kHz high frequencies by 9dB; Ultra Low enhances the 40Hz output by 2dB. The Super Grit Overdrive is foot-switchable; it produces warm overtones at quieter volumes, and more aggressive distortion as increase the gain. Thanks to the top-mounted controls, it's also simple to change settings on the fly. The Ins and Outs This Rocket Bass combo has an XLR out to connect to a PA or studio board, plus a 1/4" direct output for an extension speaker. The effects loop lets add effects between the preamp and power section. If want to play along with favorite band at home, plug any audio source into the auxiliary input. A headphone out gives the freedom to practice anytime without disturbing those who might not appreciate rock ’n’ roll lifestyle. The Rocket Bass 115 has classic Ampeg style and sound can't talk about music history without mentioning Ampeg. From the Portaflex—its first bass combo in 1960—to today's Rocket Bass, more players are falling for the Ampeg sound. If 've been looking for a powerful, road-ready combo, the 115 might just check all of boxes.
