Wonderful and informative book about animal fathers. I love to see a book that does justice to the role of fathers in the world, and this one does it. I will say that the language is probably closer to the level of a 6+ year old than to a toddler. I have to simplify it a lot for my 2 and 3 year olds, but they’ll grow into it, and it doesn’t hurt to expose them to more advanced language in the meantime (I’m referring to terms like “territory,” “reproduce,” “shelter,” and some others along those lines). I actually bought a second copy of this for a friend and her children, so I definitely recommend it!
