Apostrophe Games Elegant Building Block Chess Set - 1024pcs

This is a cute set and surprisingly actually took my child much longer to put it together and kept an entertaining longer than I expected. It’s fairly 30 once it’s together so I would definitely recommend it for kids unlike most other building sites once they build it they’re done with it, but at least this heat can continue playing with it.

My son loves chess and this type of building brick which makes this a great gift for him. The build was easy to follow along with the instructions. He did have trouble getting the bricks all the way bushed together. Even my hands started to hurt when went around to secure everything. He was having trouble getting the game board to stay on the square. The drawers are a bit difficult to get in and out all the way without something coming loose. There were also a few pieces missing but we made do. He has taken it out a few times to play a game with a few friends and he is happy with it.

Overall not a bad set; easy to snap together and holds tight. Some of the fitment is slightly off from the pieces I've put together so far but it wasn't too bad that some wiggling it didn't fix or improve. Would be a great item for a kid to work on with older sibling or parent. My biggest gripe is with the instructions - the bags are numbered and the instructions show which bag grouping to use (see photos) BUT they're not sequential. The bags are # - # but the instructions just saw #. They could have / should have added an extra layer and had each section marked with a specific bag. With all the piece looking alike, it just make it more difficult to keep the parts straight as to which set should be used. Pictures only, I'm fine with but make it easier when you can.

I received this build your own game set from Hey Bullseye in exchange for my review and I really wanted to love this because the idea of a buildable chess set is creative and fun. Unfortunately, the execution is terrible. The pieces don’t fit properly, the spacing is off, and the overall build quality is very poor. Even after carefully putting it together, the end result is frustrating and basically unplayable. One star for the concept only, but the actual product is kind of garbage.

This is a high quality deluxe chess set by Apostrophe that is compatible with all major brands! 1024 pcs to keep you busy building for a bit. It's geared for ages 12 on up. It looks and feels so elegant and well crafted and designed. Great for beginners learning chess play. Also great for cognitive and creative ability skills. Have tons of fun advancing your chess moves and skills with your family and friends!
