The Rog Phone 8 pro is super fast with a great display. Power usage seems really efficient, and charging times with the included charger are super fast. The only issue I've had is one where occasionally the phone does not charge even though it's plugged in.

Excellent. Pretend I wrote a couple paragraphs all positive (which would be true). One complaint is that it gets pretty warm to the touch even though i play everything on lowest specs with 60fps

ROG Phone 8 Pro when compared to Google Pixel or Apple iPhone has better sound, better screen, better gaming features, but camera still needs more improvement. Camera performance and picture quality is still better on Pixel and iPhone. I'd like ASUS to focus on this and get it right because the camera is using Sony hardware which is great so it should be equal if not better than those phones so I'm not sure why the result image is not as good as theirs, is the problem on software side for processing the image data? I hope ASUS figures that out and when they do they'll get a complete 5 star from me because then the phone will be on par with the other phones if not better. The phone is better than those phones in my opinion in every aspect except the camera. Maybe with software updates it will improve? we'll see. Otherwise the phone is great for normal use of just reading or watching videos. Of course the area where this phone shines is gaming and the proof of that is it got me excited again about mobile gaming because who wants to play their favorite games on a small screen when you can play on ROG monitor or TV, but the gaming features, settings, configurations, customizations and performance is amazing on the ROG phone, so much that it brought me back to mobile gaming again after long cutoff and that alone proves how good this phone is for gaming especially and everyday use in general. I'll always buy ROG Phone from this point forward as long as ASUS keeps making new phones and drops the white color phones or at least offer alternative flagship black color. I'm glad ASUS finally dropped the white color on their phones. If ASUS wants to offer a white phone flagship, please at least offer a 2nd alternative black color flagship so people have a choice. Sometimes color alone can be a deal breaker for some people that's why other phone manufacturers offer phones in multiple colors. I can't wait to see how ASUS improves on future phones from here. There are better choices at better price, the phone is ok but definitely not worth 1.5k, and then if you change your mind they charge you 15% restocking fee. Read before buying there are better choices with integrated fans if you are trying to play wz mobile or CODM.

Such a lovely upgrade from my ROG Phone 5. Smaller profile fits better I my pocket. Seamless transfer of all of my old information.

I ended up returning the ROG Phone 8 Pro. For new customers getting into the gaming phone industry for the first time this will probably be a 5 star phone. So why did I return mine? I am a returning customer for the ASUS gaming phones. I have the ROG phone 6 Pro and in my opinion this is a superior product. I immediately noticed the ROG 8 does not have the dual-front facing speakers the ROG 6 & 7 have. This was a large reason why I decided to return the phone. When you hold the phone horizontally your hands cover up the audio output and muffle the sound. The fan is a downgrade from the ROG 7 because it has lost the built in subwoofer. The battery is downgraded from a 6000 mAh (ROG Phone 6 & 7) to a 5,500 mAh battery for a slimmer phone. The aNIme vision is a downgrade from the ROG 6 & 7 ROG vision. (Most of the cool "visions" are locked unless you have a friend with a ROG 8 to help you unlock cool patterns aside from the default ones. Which are severely lacking from the past phones) At the end of the day my ROG 6 pro had more to offer than the ROG 8 Pro so I returned it. (As of writing The ROG 8 is still awaiting a controller adaptor so you are forced to use the touch screen unless you have a Bluetooth controller)

What an amazing experience, I wait it more than 2 years for the number 8 to come out because I didn't like any of the other ones before this one. This phone is no joke just like the rog2 that I bought when I came out and I still have it right now this is my favorite phone I love ROG.

It's heat up when charging and when playing, I'm disappointed with my phone

Pretty sweet phone has all the bells and whistles. Limited case options , would be nice if otter box came out with a Durable case option. Camera is OK ,not the best, but all the other options make up for a weak camera. The back light screen is way cool , wish it displayed more things.- speakers are amazing love the multiple charging ports. Way better than Samsung phones

Amazing hardware, but software limitations led to me returning it. No ability to move the volume above 100% (unlike most Android phones) and strong limitations in the AOD.

So far so good it's a super fast and very nice phone

I miss the front facing speakers of my rog 6 pro. The 8 doesn't charge nearly as fast. Android 14 is great though

The ROG Phone 8 Pro is my upgrade product after using the ROG Phone 5 Ultimate and 5S Pro for more than 3 years. But trust me, you will be more satisfied at 60FPS with 4K. The 124hz screen is now even bigger when upgraded to 165hz. Moreover, a scary thing about gaming phones lies in the high temperature and ineffective cooling system leading to overheating and sudden death. In ROG 5, this situation is quite common and sometimes when playing games, the device temperature can be more than 40°C. I have seen the attention of ASUS engineers in this issue and improvements in the ROG 6 series. I did not have the opportunity to try the 6 or 7 series, but in this 8 series, the problem has really been fixed. dress. The cooling system is better equipped, and I no longer feel too hot during gaming. I don't even need to use the ROG Cooler for cooling. Talking about the battery, it is still maintained at 5500mAh to 6000mAh with 65W fast charging support, there is no improvement but it is still enough for users to experience. I have tried typing many times but sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. I think this is a pretty good but incomplete function. Overall assessment, ROG Phone 8 Pro is truly a monster that surprised me. If you are a gamer or like to experiment with technology, this is a flagship worth trying. I've only been using it for a little over a week and I rate it 4.8/5 stars. And if I want to have a more fair assessment, I need some time to experience it.

Awesome phone that combines mainstream and gaming all together with improved camera. Id be super happy if next years has camera that matches with Sony,apple,google, and samsung!

This is my first ROG phone, I come from using the Redmagic 7S Pro, the Redmagic 8 Pro & the 9 Pro. So far I love my ROG 8 Pro, so customizable it took over 2 days set it up like I wanted too. The face recognition and fingerprint sensor are on point and with he armory crate, my gaming has gone to another level.

Although this phone is a power house I would have liked a bigger battery and slightly bigger screen. Another thing I would have liked to see is better bass in the speaker also definitely should have kept a sub in the fan that was a cool idea Camara seems slightly better too
