My first motherboard was an Asus Sabertooth. I've used a few other boards since then, but Asus is far and away my favorite. The BIOS UI is easy to understand and intuitive. It is designed to make it easy to install components. It comes with a pair of SATA cables for those of us who like Blu-ray players and card readers. I also installed an old 2.5" SSD with Linux. The BIOS handles dual boot machines pretty well. The back panel also looks pretty sharp. The only down side is that the Wi-Fi and Bluetooth drivers do not come installed. You'll want to have an Ethernet connection to get started. If you're loading Windows, you'll want to disable the network thing during setup. I forget how to do that, but an internet search and a few clicks will get you there. After Windows is installed, run the Asus tool to update drivers. This will install Wi-Fi and Bluetooth drivers. After that, it's smooth sailing. Don't let the Wi-Fi and Bluetooth stop you from getting this motherboard. It's a one-and-done thing, and I'm sure you can handle it. It's a really good board.
Another great motherboard from ASUS.

I'll get straight to the point. ASUS armory crate prevented a stable fresh windows 11 install. After a fresh install in completely new hardware, I had to bare with consistent and frequent BSOD's until i realized that never installing armory crate was the issue. To be fair, the specific issue was the fact that Razer Synapse (aka..crapware) and armoury crate competed with each other for RGB control, causing the very frequent BSOD. However, the ASUS software played a major role. It's terrible to know that these "gaming and rgb" softwares have the ability to completely destroy your PC, rendering them unusable. But it is what it is. Once I chose to "NOT INSTALL" armory crate, the motherboard with all the BIOS options and controls were a pleasure. So, 3 stars...5 stars for the hardware, 1 star for the crapware. I think thats very fair.

Dear Rsin619, We certainly understand your disappointment and the inconvenience this may have caused. Armoury Crate works properly with Windows 11 and we recommend this utility software to manage or configure your motherboard into optimum settings, just ensure Windows 11 and the Armoury Crate utility software are up to date. The most current version of Armoury Crate is available for download at: https://www.asus.com/supportonly/armoury%20crate/helpdesk_download/. We don't recommend running another third-party utility program, this may cause BSOD or stability issue due to a potential software conflict. If you need further assistance with the motherboard, please email me at cl-rodel@asus.com and I would be more than happy to help. Or you are most welcome to call Product Support Hotline at: 1(888) 678-3688. Also, you can chat with an ASUS live support agent from the link: https://www.asus.com/us/support/article/1135/. Thank you for choosing an ASUS product. Regards, Rodel ASUS Customer Loyalty

Phenomenal Motherboard. I paired this motherboard up with a Ryzen 7800X3D and an Asus TUF 3090oc. I am loving it! The aesthetics, ease of use, and overall quality of the motherboard surpassed my expectations. The only thing I would recommend is doing the BIOS Update, before messing with any settings in the BIOS. Enabling Expo/XMP to take advantage of RAM Speeds, requires a bit of research and enabling certain settings in both "AI Tweaker" and "Advanced Settings", or the system will become unstable. But so far, I am in love with my new build.

I build PC's For a living. I used the ROG STRIX B650-A GAMING WIFI to replace a customers GIGABYTE B650 AORUS ELITE AX ICE which was junk compared to the more versatile ASUS. The quality difference is beyond minimal . Right down to the I/O plate being one piece vs a loose cheap inaccurate stamped plate that was extremely poorly fitted. I would recommend that you buy a better quality MB from the start and ASUS fits the bill.

Nice board but issues with reboots. Never fully restarts.
1 reply from CLM team - 7 months ago
Dear Vinnova, Thank you for your comment. We do understand the inconvenience this may have caused if you are experiencing system reboot with your build. The system rebooting and does not fully restart can either be a hardware or software related issue. With the hardware, this can be a RAM, Hardrive, CPU, PSU and the motherboard itself. We recommend that you check if these hardware are working properly. Regarding the software, please ensure Windows was installed fresh from scratch using this motherboard with all updates installed. This will avoid any driver or software conflict that can caused a reboot, or system stability issues.
