An Extremely Capable Device

Without a doubt it is feature-rich, you can tell just from reading the brochure but those features extend beyond the capability of the Gimbal Stabilizer or the high resolution camera. This screen is extremely smooth and crisp, the bezels disappear when you're looking at the screen and the one thing that I thought would absolutely get on my nerves, the side button, is amazingly capable and feels STURDY. The fingerprint sensor works flawlessly, the motion controls for extended keys functions of which you can program 3, work every time and without the included case, the double tap feature for screen shots works every time but you do have to hit a little harder with it on. My only concern is how much the camera lenses protrude from the rear of the device, this makes them an easy target if you aren't using a case or if you get an ill fitting one. The included case provides ample coverage but this might not suit everyone's needs or preferences, although I do recommend you find a similarly built one if you choose to replace it.
The best camera system on any smartphone

The title is real, and I couldn't believe it! ASUS of all brands solved the one problem with every single modern phone camera system. The OIS! Asus ditched conventional OIS and replaced it with a proper no cheating gimbal system. This means the image or video will never have warping artifacts as seen on others. It is remarkably stable, incredibly versatile and can record in indefinite sessions. The battery life doesn't suffer significantly either while performing this, I got through a whole concert and recorded over 2 hours of nonstop 4k60fps video and the battery only got down to 35% but I didn't even start at 100%. But there's just a few things I have that need to be looked at and features I want to have added. 1. There seems to be some kind of issue when the phone is exposed to high brightness situations, as I was flying on a jet I wanted to capture some footage of the outside and it ended up being the case where out the window (bright sun) the phone would hitch ever few seconds but bringing the phone back inside solved this. So something is happening with the shutter speed and not being able to keep up with the camera or something. I am no expert but I know it needs to really crank the shutter to keep the brightness under clipping. So please do look at what is wrong here. I would like to request the feature of disabling the stabilizer, you have options for "no stabilization" "Stabilization" and "Hypersmooth." They do perform different actions and I believe the correlation here is NS means No EIS (electronic stabilization) and the stabilization setting enables moderate EIS, hypersmooth being an extreme version of EIS. I usually use no stabilization and rely only on the gimbal to smooth everything, which works incredibly well and I love it because it lets me have the maximum viewing angle. But I want a way to turn it off too, in case I want to mount the phone to an external gimbal I don't want to have them fighting each other (in practice it seems fine but changes in panning results in a slight jerk.) I know it is possible to do this because all the slow motion modes have their gimbal disabled and motion is jerky. So I can get away with using 4k120fps as long as I have sufficient light. But anyway ASUS, this phone is amazing and if you can touch on those two minor gripes you have yourself a VERY capable camera and phone combo. I will be recommending this to people, and creating some kind of review around why this camera system is truly special.

Came from a Galaxy s21 Ultra and much prefer this phone. Size is perfect and everything is incredibly fast and easy to use. None of the dreaded Samsung bloatware to hamper an awesome phone.
