Summary of reviews

The glider chair is praised for its comfort, design, and functionality, making it a popular choice for nurseries. However, several guests have reported issues with the electronics and durability, particularly with the USB port and gliding mechanism. The chair's fabric also tends to attract pet hair, and some guests have experienced unpleasant odors. Despite these concerns, many find it a valuable addition to their home.

First time mom, invested in a more pricey recliner for future babies. Used consecutively for rocking baby to sleep. If you’re at least 5’4 and up the seat span is for you. Unlike me who is on the shorter side, I found myself using pillows to compensate. I chose this chair for its specs, greenguard certified, the charging USB port and the electric gliding mechanism. The USB stopped working like most reviewers mentioned. Mine stopped working after 3 months. There is an annoying creaky from the recliner, AGAIN like other reviewers mentioned. The reclining feature still works at least but I hardly use it. It was more useful in the newborn stage if you’re falling asleep wanting to be near by next to your babe’s bassinet/crib. For the price of this chair and the specs that don’t even last - I’m 6 mos postpartum already looking for another chair. This chair is NOT worth it.

The electronics stopped working soon after we purchased the chair (it was sitting in the nursery and minimally used and stored correctly between uses). It failed to work right before the baby was born and we spent over a month trying to get the replacement. This is a month of constantly following up, phone calls, working with target reps and relaying messages between both Babyletto and Target staff multiple times. It arrived only after she was born which is a horrible thing to worry about in the midst of recovery. To add insult to injury, the SECOND chair’s electronics also stopped working. For how expensive and overhyped this chair is we have been incredibly disappointed in the quality. What are the chances that TWO chairs have exact same issue within months of receiving both of them?? It seems others in this review section have shared our struggles.

Kiwi glider - 1 year ago
The glider is beautiful and has great features. It was supposed to last for baby 1 and 2, but after 1 year of use, the gliding system started to make noises and I noticed that cheaply made plastic and thin metal blades were severely damaged with normal use. Noises made baby wake up and were really annoying during a very stressful time. I strongly recommend finding another option if you are planning to use for more than a year (and you will need it!). I tried using customer support to get it repaired and no one replied to my emails.

Momma of two boys - 1 year ago
We love this chair! It is sturdy, rocks, glides, reclines and is a good size both for me 5’4 and mg husband who is 6’2. I can hold and rock both my newborn and toddler at the same time and love that I can charge my phone while I’m there. We bought one for our nursery that both our boys will eventually share, and just bought a second one to use in our bedroom while our newborn is still there with us. They’re nice enough that I would not mind placing them in our living room or office thereafter. I do wish the chair would still rock while reclined, but maybe that would raise a safety issue. Also, I had difficulty aligning the side panels of the chair (it really isn’t easy) but we figured it out eventually. The price tag hurt, but I was searching for chairs under $700 for like a month when we realized we really needed a second one and ended up here again.

I'm convinced that B-list influencers made this chair popular because it's definitely not worth dropping almost a grand on. First of all, it's not that comfortable. The seat is way too deep, unless your femurs are 3ft long - I'm 5'7" and I have to scoot back every time I sit down to make sure my back is up against the back of the chair. The armrests don't do anything for me at all as a breastfeeding mom. They're low and the cushioning leaves a lot to be desired. I've sat in way more comfortable chairs for a fraction of the price. Secondly, the quality is trash. After a couple of months, the chair would click anytime I rocked it. When you're trying to put a baby to sleep and you're annoyed that even your own breathing is too loud and might wake the baby, imagine how much your blood would boil when you sit back in this chair and it starts clicking... I contacted Babyletto directly and they first asked me to tighten all the bolts. If you have this chair, humor yourself and see how many connections there are under this chair, over or under 300? After checking EVERYTHING I also noticed that one of the screws that connects the chair to the entire rocking/gliding mechanism wasn't even screwed in. The wood was completely stripped and there was some type of glue used around it. Mind you this is 1 of 4 screws that holds the chair together. So I get back to Babyletto with the update and they want a video of the clicking sound. Weird, but okay, I send them a video of me rocking and clicking away. They gat back to me and they're going to send me another chair. So the second chair arrives and... It's totally lopsided. Like comically leaning to the left. At this point I can't believe my luck and my back is killing me from rocking my baby to sleep. I reached back out to Babyletto and they offered me a 40% refund. So now I have 2 defective chairs that I basically spend $500 on - How does that help me? As a new mom to a 4 month old, the last thing I want to deal with is figuring out what to do with these two chairs PLUS look for another one. Oh and I'm also out $500. Don't even deal with the headache, save your money, and look somewhere else.

The appearance of the chair is nice but I’ve only had it 5 months and it’s so loud and creaks when I rock in it. It’s hard to put a newborn to sleep when it’s making that awful sound. Not very useful in my case.

Loved the look of the recliner initially but do not purchase this if you have a dog!!! We have two dogs and we don’t let them go in the nursery but they are both shedders so even just the hair on my clothes transfers to the chair when I sit in it and it is STUCK. Like I literally haven’t found a way to get it out of this chair’s fabric so now after having it for a year the chair just looks disgusting. Can’t afford to buy a different chair so we’re stuck with it but I really wish I had gotten something else. It is at least a very comfortable chair and the USB functionality is great, I just wish it came it a different fabric type so that dog hair wouldn’t literally get woven into the fabric.

I love this chair and it fits all the needs as a glider…. The reason I knocked off a star is that I have a dog and the dog hair gets STUCK to the fabric. It won’t come off with a vacuum or lint roller…. It’s stuck in the weave of the fabric so I’m pretty disappointed in that but it’s otherwise great.

I’m rocking my baby to sleep right now, and my entire body is in pain bc this chair is so uncomfortable. The padding is so tough that it’s like you’re sitting on wood. The head rest/top back of the chair is designed poorly bc if you want to put your head back, to do so your basically looking straight up and your neck is strained. Make sure you have a good chiropractor if you buy this chair.

I really loved this chair and thought it was a great investment until we hit the 2 month mark. The USB is on the inside of the chair and you can't have your phone plugged in without it sticking into your leg. With the baby and breast feeding pillow it's impossible to reach the button from the inside and once the baby starts kicking he is able to kick the buttons and recline the chair. The most dreadful thing about this chair is the squeaking noise it started to make. drives me crazy for all the night feedings. I really loved this chair at first but it's been a huge let down.

First of all it was a long time coming after many read reviews, researching nursery gliders and rockers and the cost of them it was the best choice to finally decide on this beautiful chair. The only thing that had me nervous or skeptical was the reviews on the odor and as soon as I could open the box and pull the first piece out I was so relieved that it did not smell and thankfully the rest of the chair was the exact same, no smelly odor. The chair is so comfortable, smooth gliding and I could definitely see how some individuals have fallen asleep as the first night I didn’t want to get out if it from how comfortable it was. We also bought the ottoman which is nice when we don’t want to recline yet still have our feet up and get to glide as well. If you’re thinking of buying this but don’t want to spend the extra $300-400 it’s understandable but I’ll be the first to tell you it’s absolutely worth every penny! Only negative is it took a while to find a place that had it in stock with a good delivery time but as usual Target pulled through. Hope this helps.

This chair is lovely! The design is modern and will fit many nursery themes. The cream color is soft and not a stark white. Fabric looks like it will be easy to clean but time will tell. Thankfully there was no bad smell to it like other reviewers had complained of in the past. Also, the chair is very comfortable. The gliding motion is smooth and quiet, and the recline function is easy to operate and works well. Only negatives are the chair is really heavy in the box. My husband and I had a lot of difficulty carrying it inside the house. It was much easier to just open the box and carry it up the stairs piece by piece. Also, we had some difficulty with assembly due to the chair gliding around as we tried to slide the arms on. Additionally, it takes up a large amount of space when fully reclined so keep that in mind if your nursery is small. Overall I'm very pleased with my purchase, and I hope this chair lasts a really long time!
