If you go to the assembly video on the Badger Basket YouTube channel (search under videos for 00362), about half way thru the video we demonstrate how to raise up the body of the cradle and move the support bars into place. To fold the cradle you will reverse this step to lower the support bars. It does take some pressure but I think a 7 year old could do it.
