A: These jars are storage jars and not designed for sous vide water bath cooking. You should consider regular ball canning jars for your purposes.

Q: How tall are the 4 oz. mini storage jars with lid?
A: They are about 3.5 inches tall and they fit quite nicely standing up in my standard height kitchen drawer

Q: Does the inside of the lid have a rubber seal so spices would be air tight?
A: No, they don't have a rubber seal.

Q: Can these be used as a candleholders for votive candles?
A: Hi Linda ~ thanks for reaching out! The 4oz Mini Storage Jar with Metal Lid has never been tested to be used as a candleholder or for votive candles, so this is not a recommended use. However the storage jars are great for storing herbs or gift giving.

Q: This question is for those who use these jars for spices... I'd like to put spices in these but can measuring spoons fit through the neck? Specifically the 1 teaspoon size. Some of my jars at home can, some can't, and it drives me a little nuts.
A: Yes a standard 1 tsp does fit.

Q: Are the jars smooth on one sideto adhere labels?
A: Yes, 1 side of the jar is smooth so you can place a label their if you like. The size of the space is about 1.75 inches -width × 2.25 inches- height. FYI the width of 1.75 does have a slight curve to the side because of the jars shape. These jars are so stinking cute. So many uses for them from wedding favors to sewing supplies the list goes on and on. I love, love, love these little jars. Wish they sold them in bulk amounts so the price was a little less, but at about 1.15 each in the 4 pack it doesn't break the bank. Hope this helps

Q: Is the lid a single-piece lid or two-piece lid and band?

Q: Would a regular baby bottle nipple fit on the top of these? Or can you measure the mouth opening specifically? Looking for baby shower game ideas! ;)
A: not sure of the dimension of the jars, i do own some, but i think a baby bottle nipple might be over sized for these jars. however im sure ball has jars that could fit pretty close to what you are looking for.
