Boxiecat Glo Light Attractant Unscented Clay Cat Litter

I’m currently using Rufus & Coco bamboo/charcoal pellets Cat litter for my 9 cats. I wanted to try Boxie Glow and see if this litter was less dusty than Rufus & Coco. The answer was NO. I replaced only one litter box out of 5 with Boxie Glow and the cats liked it. It is still the most used box in the house. It clumps very hard but you will still end up with this little pieces (crumbs like) that break away when you shove the scooper deep in the box to scrape pee. It’s no biggie, it’s clay so it’s bound to happen. Boxie Glow is a very fine clay litter which means it tracks and can feel sticky on the floor. Also, the smell of many cats using it the most, is not pleasant. In my opinion, I think this litter would work better if you have 1-2 cats with 2-3 litter boxes. I’m not able to place 10 litter boxes in my home, as it is recommended to have 1 litter box per cat plus 1 extra one. (unfortunately). So based on the lifestyle and the choice of rescuing 9 cats, clay litter is definitely not for me. Like I said, the cats like it, I don’t. This review is based on Boxie Glow’s performance for 9 cats.

The dust level is minimal and the litter does not stick to my cats paws which means my cats don’t track the litter everywhere. This litter is cat approved!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have three cats, each with distinctly different tastes in food, toys, sleeping places, and especially litter. Finding one litter that they all like has always been a source of frustration. I swapped one of their boxes to Boxiecat Glo Natural Attractions and now that is the box they all prefer to use. The first couple of days they kept looking at it funny before they used the box, so I guess there is something to the UV Glo Light Attractant. But it never seemed to deter them. It does a good odor control job and clumps solidly for easy scooping. It doesn't seem to stick to feet like some clumping litters can, but it does track outside the box so a good mat to catch it is helpful. Cat approved.

Trying out Boxicat Glo has been very helpful and definitely less mess, which makes me wonder if she just was not comfortable yet and needed some stress relief. This clumps really good and seems to control odor very well. It’s been nice to not have to change the litter as often and seeing less tracking in the house.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This cat litter is aimed at people with cats that have regular issues not using the litter box for whatever reason. It relies on the information that cats can see UV light. But there wasn't much information or testing I could find to confirm this litter actually leads to better litter box use. Just what they claim, so I guess take it with a grain of salt. Overall my cats rarely have issues with litter box use, so this was a little hard for me to judge in that area. But they had no issues with the litter switch. They used it just the same as they did the old litter. It seemed a little finer on the scale of litters. But nothing overly fine where it would be a more difficult mess to clean if the cats knock it out of the box. They claim that it is odor free up to 30 days if you have only one cat. I have multiple cats, so the idea of leaving the box for 30 days even with daily cleanings wasn't going to happen. But overall, I didn't notice any extra smells or a worse smell as if it wasn't absorbing odor. Overall, I would put this litter on par with any litter I have used. It is slightly higher in price than most litters, but not by an exorbitant amount. I may consider buying it again, especially if I see it in the store when I go shopping. It just wasn't a big enough difference for me to say yeah this is now my go-to litter. I would still recommend at least trying it and seeing how it works for you, especially if you do have cats with litter box usage issues. It may end up making a bigger difference for you than it did for me.

It does not seem like the cats prefer this over their boxes with other litter in it, but they are using it equally. If it were priced similarly to other clumping litters, I would buy this.

I love the fact that it puts off a glow to help them and a scent to encourage them. The fine grains are really cool too and less messy and dusty than normal litters. Would definitely give this a good recommendation for anyone with pet kitties.

There is minimal smell from the litter and it does clump well. It seems to have. Slow dust level which is nice and stays in the box. It’s a good option for litter.
