A: The question posed was “how many quarts?” NOT how many quartz.

People often confuse silica gel in cat litter for crystalline silicate (which is a form of quartz, often found in clay litters and it is regulated by OSHA as a hazardous material. ). There's no crystalline silica in PrettyLitter or any other silica gel cat litter. A: Hi Savannah, great question! While one bag of PrettyLitter typically lasts a month for a single cat in an average-sized litter box, every household is a bit different. If you have multiple cats, we recommend at least one bag per cat; for instance, if two cats share one box, we suggest two bags for that box, or if each cat has their own box but one is used more, we'd still suggest two bags per box. To get the best performance, maintain a depth of 2 inches for one cat, or 3 inches if you have multiple cats or if your cat tends to urinate more. I had high hopes but the PrettyLitter doesn't clump well. Its very messy. Sticks to paws and gets everywhere. Our two kittens don't seem to approve. We did one litter box with pretty litter and one with our normal litter, our two kittens seemed to steer more to the normal litter. Could be we need to go all in on the Pretty Litter in both boxes but because of the mess it makes we are not inclined to try. The claim is it lasts for thirty days and that is definitely not the case. Maybe 2 or three weeks at absolute best. I will say, I do enjoy the lack of clay dust but it makes up for it with sticking to paws far worse.

I am very impressed with the decreased odor from the littler box. Odor and weight have been my major issues so far with other litters that I have used. My cat had no issues changing over to this litter either. Definitely will continue using Pretty Littler.

I Have Only Been Using It For 2 Week's With 2 cat's and so far I think I might Love it. However I realized today after 2 week's the smell and The bottom was All Blue with wet pee and so I shifted through it to dry it out but I think it might smell now. Scent is very mild. Tracking is good. I split one 8 lb bag between 2 litters and lasts approx 2ish weeks with 3 cats. Worth the money although it is on the more expensive side of a litter.
