Q: I get pretty litter every month. Did the quantity gone down? A bag of pretty litter usually last me a full month no problem. I just bought a new bag one week ago and it’s almost done.. Did they reduced the size of the bag?

Just to confirm, the size of our PrettyLitter bags hasn’t changed—our non-clumping subscription bags are 6 lbs, retail bags are 8 lbs, and the clumping version is still 10 lbs. If it feels like you're going through it faster than usual, it might be due to things like increased usage, spillage, or even humidity affecting absorption. Q: Can this litter clump be flushed down the toilet? Is it safe for pipes and sewer system?

A: Hi, AWM! Good question! We recommend against flushing PrettyLitter because feline feces can contain toxoplasmosis, a parasite that can be harmful to marine life. If you live near water, it's definitely something to keep in mind. The concern is really with the feces, not the litter itself. As for the litter, if you have a septic tank, it depends on how well your tank handles other litters. If you've flushed other types of litter into your septic system in the past without issues, PrettyLitter should work just as well. This litter does not control odor and it tends to get tracked out of the litter box. Along with the cost, those are the cons. The pros are it is not messy and dusty like clay and it does not get caked into their paws, so I can live with vacuuming the tracked litter vs cleaning it out of their paws. All of our cats seem to like it and it is visually more appealing than clay. The biggest reason we use it is to monitor their doo-doos and wee-wees for health reasons.

After using your non clumping product for years, I had to switch after upgrading to a larger litter box to maintain the proper depth. I’m not sure why you don’t offer the non clumping in a 10lb bag, however the extra cost of that product even in that size would be to expensive for the benefit, hence I had to switch to non clumping product which I really don’t prefer.

I am glad that I switched to the clumping litter. I scoop away the urine instead of dispersing it and letting it evaporate. Before, the litter box looked yellow and dirty, and began to smell within a week of changing the litter. Now the litter box looks and smells cleaner longer. When the litter box starts to get low, I just add some more pretty little. Since I am not have to completely change out the litter more often, I believe I am saving money with the clumping litter. I really like this product.

I have always purchased the regular Pretty Litter, but wanted to try the clumping version. Unfortunately, I did not like it at all. It made an already easy cleaning process so much harder and complicated. When the clumping letter soaks up the urine, it turns into hard masses and it’s incredibly difficult to scrape them out of my stainless steel litter box. I can’t imagine how much more difficult it would be with a plastic litter box. I had to soak the clumps in water and vinegar to dissolve them enough to get them out of the box to clean. Definitely going to stick with the regular Pretty Litter as it’s a great product that I really like.

My husband loves me so he puts up with my cat but recently he looked at me and asked seriously ‘where did the stink go?’ He explained that the smell of cat litter was the reason why he didn’t like my cat. Now it’s gone! Pretty kitty just improved my marriage! It’s like a miracle!

Tried this clumping litter after using the normal pretty litter and I have to say, this has to be the worst litter I’ve ever used. My cat likes to pee against the walls of the box and that little would turn rock hard and I had to put muscle into scoop it - and I’m talking same day, it’s not sitting there for a long time. It also seems to go to the base of the box and is rock hard. My litter box is completely ruined and I had to buy a new one. Don’t recommend.

The clumps are so solid they stick to the pan and you have to have muscles to get them unstuck or wash the whole pan out and its gross, the clumping additive needs to be toned down a little bit

I de ided to give PL a change with this clumping litter, wanting to remove pee from the litter box and not just stir it in. I am impressed with the odor control and the strong clumping. No gumminess like with clay litter and zero smell. Its also a lot lighter. My cats no longer smell like litter and their breath haa improved too since they arent licking clay dust off their fur.

Save your money, sis. Low Dust where?! I legit had to wear sunglasses & a mask while scooping waste from 2 kinds of litters from this brand, including this one. The dust is the worst I’ve ever experienced, and flares up my asthma. And thank goodness I did wear sunglasses- because some of the pee had hardened so much on the bottom of the pan bc of the poor composition of this litter that the scoop broke and like blasted shards of plastic towards my face..that’s never happened to me in 12 years. I’ve never had a litter scoop break. I’ve had cats for 12 years and this is hands down the WORST I have ever used. It’s also the MOST EXPENSIVE I’ve ever used. Really disappointing because I had high hopes for this. Please save your money.
