Boxiecat Extra Strength Odor Control Clumping Clay Cat Litter

I hate this litter. It does not turn waste into hard clumps like other cat litters. Instead, you get slimy sludge globs. We used this in our Litter Robot and there were huge chunks of sludge stuck to the walls of the globe. Never buying this again.

I've been trying new litter for my cats, and this one has no visible dust and very, very low tracking. I'm shocked at the minimal or no tracking I see compared to others, including others within the same brand. I've tried the Air plant based one, which does track, but I think it has better odor control than this one. I'm still not sure if this one is the one but it does checkout low tracking, clumps well (could be a little better) and odors could be better.

I bought this litter on Amazon but wanted to share my thoughts here as well. The majority of the reviews are from people who received this litter as part of a promotion. In contrast I paid for this litter with my own money. I did not receive a discount and it wasn't on sale. For reference, I have 4 cats, one of which is special needs and 3 litter boxes (2 self-cleaning and 1 standard). Additionally, I normally use Fresh Step Outreach Unscented in 1 self cleaning and the standard box and Frisco Odor Defense Unscented in the other self cleaning box. Now on to the review: the Boxiecat Extra Strength litter clumps really well which makes it very easy to scoop the box and it is legit scent free. It is not dust free (The bag I got was less dusty that the Frisco Litter). The cats used this litter without complaint & the amount of dust present didn't cause any adverse reactions. Odor control is acceptable (for the price I expected it to be better) but the tracking is horrifics. Compared to our usual litters: Boxiecat is myless dusty and controls odor better than the Frisco Litter. However fresh step outstretch and Boxiecat are equally dusty. Fresh Step Outstretch controls odor significantly better than the Boxiecat and it also tracks less.

i have a super fluffy cat who tracks litter ALL over (she likes to sprint out of the box as soon as she finishes). when i saw this brand is the best litter ive ever used i mean it. she used to get clumps of dust and litter debris in her paws with other brands, and sometimes it would stick to her butt fluff!!! but since starting her on boxiecat shes been super clean, and the only residue she gets anywhere is the few litter specks that fly out whenever she runs out of the box LOL. have had literally no fall out when scooping, and it lasts at least two months longer than other brands ive used. (added a picture of my cat cos shes too cute)

Packaging creates immediate problems upon arrival because the filmsy plastic bag is very heavy & thus hard to manage. Expect to have an accident on my first use. Will never buy again no matter how great the litter! I wish I could return this but the bag is too heavy. This litter could cost me a visit to the chiropractor. Don't trust these reviews.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Boxiecat Extra Strength Liter works well. It clumps quickly and absorbs the odors. It is very easy to clean and there is very little tracking from it. Me and my cat are very happy with it and will continue to use it.

It was very effective. I dislike litters that claim to be clumping but aren't--this definitely clumped well and kept clean up easy.

The litter clumps great and works well to minimize the odor. We will be using Boxiecat in the future for Skittles.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This BoxieCat litter is amazing!! I change my cats litter often trying to find one that doesn’t track, stink, and does clump well. This is just that litter! Not only does the litter itself not stink but it absorbs the smells! It tracks so much less leaving significantly less clean up around the litter box. And last but not least it clumps and the clumps stay together tightly! Extremely easy to scoop and long lasting scent protection. There is a handle on the back for making easy and comfortable pouring as well! This is my new go to!! Kitty cat approved!!

I have found the absorbency to be really good, unlike some other litters we have used before. This helps minimize wastage as only surface clumps need to be removed. Odor control is also significantly better than other products. 5/5

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was skeptical that any litter could really be that different. But, this stuff is great! I have two girls that seem to get litter all over the house- like their fur is litter velcro or something. There has been a little bit tracked outside of the box, but it is a 98% improvement over what I was experiencing. And there really is no dust- no dust at all. I don't have to feel like I need an oxygen suit to change the litter. But, the very best part is the smell- there is none. No smell. None. Not at all. I'm a firm believer and convert.

I like that the litter is scent free as well because litter with added scent smells awful, especially when cats start using it. Thus brand clumps really nicely too. It's easy to scoop out and clean daily. I also like that my cat doesn't make as big of a mess with it. He usually brings a lot of litter out with him, but this doesn't make as big of a mess.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'll start by saying that my cat is very picky (I've probably described every cat though). We got her as a kitten and she refused the litter box until we finally tried crystal litter. Yep, she is that kinda lady! Anyway, the crystal litter is fine but a bit dusty and doesn't seem to control odor in an awesome way so we tried this. We were shocked that she actually used it, first of all, so that says something!! The pros here would be very low dust (even when scooping), it clumps well, and I feel it does a bit better with odor control. The cons would be that this stuff is easily tracked and a bit sticky to surfaces- meaning a quick vacuum won't always do the job. We put down a textured mat in front of the box and it helped most of that, so it isn't a huge issue. The only other thing would be the price. Crystal litter is already a little spendy and this is a tad more expensive but I would say could be worth it if you can't find something to control odor well or if you really need an option with much less dust- this could be a solid choice! Overall, I'd recommend it.
