Overall this bumper bar did exactly what I expect a bumper bar to do-- it gave my son something to hold onto while we were strolling so he felt more secure. As a fun bonus, it also allowed him to feel like he was partially in control, or at least it seemed like he was pretending he was driving a car with the noises he made while we "zoomed" about. Getting it installed was a bit of an adventure at first, but it still took less than 5 minutes to figure it out (or at least I think I figured it out). My son is able to jiggle the bar up and down a bit, but he is not able to open it or get out. I actually have found that I like that the bar moves a bit up and down as it makes it easier to get it out of the way when folding up the stroller- although more often than not I still just remove it and toss it in the storage basket while I have the stroller folded. It feels super sturdy and durable, but I am sure time will really tell the story there. My son definitely prefers to stroll with the bumper bar than without it though, so I consider it a must-have accessory for now. Included in the box was the bumper bar and no instructions. I was able to figure out the installation but I do wish that they would’ve included a guide; this didn’t affect my overall rating though. The material is leather-like and feels like it can withstand the constant use that it will endure over the next couple of years. I’ve found it very easy to clean as well, I just wipe it down with a damp cloth or wipe. My kiddo likes to hold on to the bumper bar and also prop his feet up while we’re walking. Rotating it to get my son in and out of the stroller is quite easy as well. Also, folding it out of the way is simple and it makes storage easier. Compared to my other travel stroller I like this bumper bar better because as my child grows I can remove the bar and use the stroller without it. I like the versatility that it allows.
