Put fleas in the crosshairs! One tablet starts killing adult fleas on your pet within 30 minutes. A single dose of Capstar should kill the adult fleas on your pet. Capstar (nitenpyram) targets adult fleas with quick-kill action, so it's ideal for pets at elevated risk of a flea infestation. In studies, Capstar achieved greater than 90% effectiveness against adult fleas on dogs within 4 hours and cats within 6 hours. To give Capstar Tablets, place the pill directly in your pet's mouth or hide it in food. Capstar for Dogs is safe to give as often as once per day if the dog gets reinfested. Capstar for Dogs is also safe for pregnant or nursing dogs. Capstar Tablets may be used together with other products.
I will not be bying this ever again! Says it's supposed to work in as little as 30 minutes. I gave it to my dog and the very next day I had to give her a flea bath, the day after the flea bath I gave her Frontline Plus - we're all good now. I'll stop wasting money elsewhere and just pay for Frontline since it actually works. Disappointed in the product and the price I paid for NOTHING!
I purchased this product after giving Advantix twice and still seeing fleas. It knocked the fleas out in a few hours. The Advantix is working as well, just needed to existing fleas to be gone. It's great to have on hand, especially in the summer months.
Yes, it works! but you have to do your part. It is intended to be used as a tool not as the answer to your flea problems. We gave our dog a bath which takes care of the eggs, and then we gave her the pill to kill everything else. We washed her bedding and vacuum. The pill alone will not take care of the problem if the fleas are hiding in the rest of your home, kind of like lice. You have to sanitize the surroundings or they will be back in a matter of days.
Ok, so I wanted to rate this product 5 stars but I can't. Does the product kill the fleas? Yes. If you are looking for a quick fix, this is your product. I saw results immediately. However, I did have to use another tablet to kill the fleas (which was suggested on the box). This box came with 6 tablets. However, if you read the description on the product it says that results will not last more than 24 hours, meaning this is not a long term solution compared to NexGard. If you know for certain your dog is not going back to a flea area and this is just a quick fix, buy this. I would buy this for my cat since he's an indoor cat only. But I wouldn't use this for my dogs for long term use since I am always taking them to parks. So, if you''re looking for a quick fix, this is it. But I wouldn't waste your money if you're looking for a long term solution. I really wanted to like this. Maybe I will just by the NexGard after all. i just hate how expensive it is.
I purchased this item on May 14. I’ve given my dog a pill everyday since he didn’t seem to have any relief after his first pill on the 14th. After days and nights full of scratching/biting/licking, I gave him a bath today, May 18th and found a lot of fleas on him. Wasted $32 and can’t return as there’s only one pill left in the pack.
