Description

The CHARD Ten Tray Dehydrator puts you in charge when it comes to dehydrating your favorite meats, vegetables, fruits and herbs. The clear acrylic door provides easy viewing and the latch and lock door closure ensures proper heat retention for more efficient dehydrating. The 800 Watt heating element provides sufficient power for sizable jobs and the large centrally located fan blow evenly heated air eliminating the need for tray rotation. This dehydrator provides more than 1700 square inches of dehydrating space. Drying guide, easy-to-use temperature dial, and illuminated on/off switch located on the control panel. Includes a non-stick drip sheet that catches dripping liquid and provides easy cleanup. Perfect for a wide range of foods. Make jerky and preserve vegetables like a pro.

Optimism turned inconvenience

The item I received was damaged in multiple ways. The plastic where the top door hinge connects is broken so the door to fall off. The dehydrator also has a manufacturer's defect that insinuates an issue with quality service or this was a known and negligent event by the fulfilling partner. The fan along with it's nut and washer were loose (rolling around) within the enclosed area of the unit containing the fan and heating element. This part of the dehydrator is inaccessible without removed the metal back plate. It could be that I was sent a damaged-beyond-use return or manufacturer negligence... either way it's very frustrating.

This is the first dehydrator that I've bought, so I don't have anything to compare it to. Overall, I really like it. But I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because it seems to take longer than it should according to some recipes I've tried. it's quiet and durable.
