A perfectly magical Christmas novella inspired by The Nutcracker will delight and enchant this holiday season! Cozy up under the tree and disappear to the English countryside at Christmas, complete with a grand Christmas Eve ball, sugar plums, and sleigh rides! With a well-rounded cast of characters and a redemption arc where you least expect it, this short tale is packed to the brim with romance and gospel truth. This story is a delight, and I highly recommend it for anyone’s Christmas reading list this year! I received a copy of this book from the publisher in exchange for my honest opinion. My thoughts are my own— I really did love it!

Christmas at Sugar Plum Manor is a delightful novella from the talented pen of Mrs. White and a magical play on The Nutcracker. Even for a novella, the author does a wonderful job developing and growing her characters. The setting is whimsical, and I loved the descriptions of yummy holiday desserts . A recipe can even be found on the last page that may become a new Chrismas tradition. This book is sure to capture your heart and put you in the Christmas spirit.

An enchanting Christmastime Edwardian romance, inspired by The Nutcracker, about the true light of Christmas. Lady Mariah Lyons delights in bringing the joy of Christmas to those around her, making sweets, writing plays, and devising special surprises for the local children to enjoy. But this year is different with the visitation of a Danish nobleman, and a childhood friend, over the festive season. A captivating and heartwarming story of family, faith, and finding love at Christmas time. I loved Mariah's sense of joy, how she uses her gifts to create things for others to enjoy and share her wonder. This is such a fun feel-good read, with wonderful characters, and an engaging plot with ties to the classic Christmastime tale. I really liked Mariah's friendship with Cyril, as well as how she is so kind and thoughtful towards the staff, treating them like family. Overall, a well written read that I didn't want to end, with likable characters, and a compelling story, filled with a sense of wonder and faith. Great interaction between the characters, as well as a strong theme of the true meaning of Christmas. A highly entertaining, heartwarming read, that you will love to re-read year after year! I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

Christmas at Sugar Plum Manor is a charming novella overflowing with the magic of Christmas. This enchanting story shares the joys of the holiday season, romance, and the closeness of family. The tale offers notes of The Nutcracker story throughout, and Christmas traditions abound as Mariah finds herself on the receiving end of the attentions of two gentlemen, Danish Lord Gyldenkrone and childhood friend Cyril Lightbourne. Who will Mariah find to be the man that is right for her? I love the contagious joy that Mariah exudes throughout the story and can't help but root for her happiness. The Christmas eve play put on by the local children, sugar plum candies, and beautiful Christmas decor descriptions add to the charm and wonder of the story. A heartwarming must-read perfect for the holiday season and beyond. I received a complimentary copy of this book from the author in order to share my honest review. All opinions expressed are my own.

Magical! This is the word that comes to my mind when describing this book by Roseanna M. White. It's set in England, at Plumford Manor, in 1902 and it has all of the Edwardian traditions: delicious food, beautiful decorations, and the gaiety of the season. After years apart, Lady Mariah Lyons is excited to see her childhood friend Cyril Lighthouse, but it may not be the reunion that she had hoped for! She's accepted that he'll never be more than her friend, but does he have to be involved with someone like Lady Pearl? Christmas at Sugar Plum Manor is a sweet romance with captivating characters and a nod to the beloved ballet, The Nutcracker, but the perfect addition is the reminder that Christ's birth is the reason we celebrate this holiday today. We're reminded of this miracle and the joy and wonder that comes to those who embrace His birth as the heart of Christmas! It is a delightful novella that will put you in the mood for Christmas and its short length makes it a perfect choice when the busyness of the holiday threatens to overwhelm you. Who knows, maybe reading this engaging story each year will become one of your holiday traditions! I received a copy from the author. There was no expectation of a positive review.

Impressive Christmas novella that shares the magic of the season with elements from the Nutcracker to give it that whimsical feel. I love all the feel good moments that leave you wishing you could be part of this village of close knit people. I enjoyed the romance that develops and grows but even more I loved the joy this family finds. Mariah and Cyril relationship has its ups and downs but their love of life, love of family, and love of others is heart touching. The descriptive words have my mouth watering for Sugarplums and wanting to visit Sugar Plum Manor to see all the festive decorations. An inspiring story that you will place on your keeper shelf to read each year to bring joy to your heart during the Holy Christmas season. I received a complimentary copy from the author/publisher. The honest review and opinions are my own and were not required.
