Q: How does this item store? Is it a quick fold or more complicated?

A: more complicated. You have to get inside and align the sticks and insert them into the little pockets at the bottom and then tie them to the sides so they stay taught/upright.

Q: How are you supposed to assemble the light? The"twist off" part in the light is not twisting off... There's no grip either.

Look elsewhere for fun.
Poor quality material, led light drain the 3xAAA batteries too fast and the flimsy tent poles are poor quantity too short and do not stay in place.
