COAST RL10 560 Lumen LED Headlamp: Impact & Weather-Resistant, Variable Brightness, AAA Battery, Camping & Running

Great headlamp. Red light at back a plus. Like the dial for brightness control, and easy on / off button. Grippy strap is great too.

I have been using this light regularly for weeks now, and it is by far my favorite headlamp. It is very comfortable to wear, while remaining secure on my head with almost no movement, no matter the task that I'm doing. It could be brighter, but for most tasks, it is more than bright enough. I really like the adjustable brightness, instead of just one or two preset brightness levels. I do wish that by default, the light came with a rechargeable battery, with the backup option of using AAA batteries, but the rechargeable battery isn't too expensive, and is worth buying.

It is very well-weighted and doesn’t want to sag off of my head like so many other lamps. It has nice safety features so that I can be seen in the dark, and it has a simple, useful interface. I love it.

Iv had this for over a month and have to say that for the price it is a good light. Nice flood light, perfect for working and the red light in the back is nice the only issue i would say is that the dial to control the brightness lags a little you have to play with it to get a feel for it

Best headlamp I have owned. Super bright light and battery life is above expectations. Do yourself a favor if your looking for a great headlamp this is the one to buy.

I want to start off by saying that I recieved this light from coast at no cost to myself in order to test and review. Also, I do not work on job sites, I am a service plumber and I work in residential homes 99% of the time. I had this sitting on my dash for a while because I never knew I needed a headlamp (lol) I was happy and have been happy with the hp7/hp7r for a long long time now probably about 10 years. I started using this thing 2 days ago and it hasn’t left my hat since. I took it home by accident because I forgot it was there. So things I like about it: It’s small and lightweight, barely noticeable on the head. It swivels up and down which is awesome if you’re kneeling to work and need to see things on the floor. It has a DIMMER which is pretty cool you slide it left and right to control the brightness of the light. If you use the regular light for long enough, and press the button, it shuts the light off and does not switch to the red light. Otherwise if you press the button twice in succession it goes to the red light. The led light is bright enough to work with but not bright enough to reflect off things and blind you (lol) The red light ON THE BACK is EXCELLENT for bike riding at night, I’m not sure if that was intentional but it’s a perk. The battery life is great, I’ve been using it for about 12 hours now and it’s not dead. Things I do not like: It’s battery powered and it doesn’t come with a rechargeable battery. They really need to start making some of these things with accessible/serviceable/changeable integral rechargeable batteries with charging ports, that would make life a lot easier.

I have nothing to complain about I did break the hinge on the front light but I broke because I left it sitting on a tire and it fell off and got ran over and the only thing to happen is the hinge broke the upside to this light is the red light on the back great for onroad service it helps ppl see me at least I red light when I'm turned away from cars driving by. ( and yes i wear a safety vest its just time to replace it gonna get the light up vest Coast sells when I'm able to afford it) just running both the regular light and the back red lights it does go thru battery's but still worth the money

Well I was sent this product to test it out! I was pretty pumped actually got picked for a coast product always have been a big fan. Been using coast products for about 15 years or more. This product is pretty dope. Love the turn dial to adjust the brightness it’s a nice touch. Super bright white light like most coast products fits on head pretty well definitely lights your your path. Love that it runs off either AAA batteries or you have option to get the rechargeable battery. And placing red flasher on battery housing is a nice thing to have if you were to be using it while running or riding a bike. Many different uses with this light. Overall great product. Can’t wait to see what comes out next. Only thing that was bummed is didn’t come with rechargeable battery but other than that it’s great. Prolly end up purchasing the rechargeable battery for this and other coast products I have. HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS AND ALL COAST PRODUCTS GREAT QUALITY VERSATILITY AND BEST PART IS PRICE RANG IS USUALLY VERY AFFORDABLE!!

I got this light a few weeks ago and I love it! It has a nice wide beam pattern so you can still see things easily when you are up close and farther away. The light is very light and doesn't try to slide off your head when using it. This is a good light for working on my JEEP when things are getting dark and for setting up camp once the sun goes down. I also use this light when I go GeoCaching or hiking at night. It leaves my hands free to allow me to search for the Geo Cache and to hold my GPSr while I am hunting for the hide. I am so impressed with this light that I bought the Lithium Battery for it. I have not noticed any appreciable difference in light output between the Lithium Battery pack or while using alkaline batteries. This thing just works and the fair price makes it stand out against the much more expensive headlights on the market. So, If you need a decent headlight and don't want to empty your bank account, I suggest you get one of these lights. Also, the COAST lifetime warranty is an added plus!

Really lightweight compared to some other headlights I have used in the past. Adjustable brightness is very helpful when working in tight quarters. Red lamp helps protect night vision and is very handy in dark situations where you still need to be able to see. Adjustable pivot is helpful when using the light to work on objects. All in all a great light.

I have been using the rl10 every night for the past week and I am digging it. First off it has a manual dial to adjust the brightness. Opposed to having to clicking through several options and accidentally leaving on the brightness option when you are trying to conserve your battery because you have an undetermined amount of work to do in the dark. It has a traditional light along with a red light. So there is no way to get confused It also has the battery on the back of the head strap with a optional red light, which is great for nights when you have people following you in the dark. The fact that it is optional is nice because you can conserve your battery load when you don’t have The need for a back of the head light. Also the strap is sleek and it fit my head right out the package. It also came completely ready to use the batteries were installed and the light was already on the strap. I can’t wait to order the rechargeable battery option so I can do my part and help Mother Nature out.

I just received this headlamp a few days ago and it has a few features I really like. The headlamp has a nice wide flood and would be great for walking down a dark trail. It also has a dimmer so you can control the amount of light you need. There are 2 light colors for the front lamp, white or red. Both give out plenty of light. There is also a rear red light with 2 modes. One is a heart beat mode,.while the other is steady. This may be handy if needed on the work sight to help increase your visibility. The lamp comes with alkaline batteries, but you can get a rechargeable battery for it.
