Cobra® RAD 380 Radar/Laser Detector

I'm not happy with this radar detector. It doesn't work at all even radar that's taking mph on the side of the road it won't go off until I'm right past it and police cars if they have it I don't know but all of my other Radar detectors work perfectly but this one

I ordered this Cobar RAD 380 for my daughter because she's on the road alot and meets cops on the road everyday. It helps her not to speed when the detector goes off. For the money it's one of the best little radar detectors they have.

Haven't had or used a detector in about 40 years. Bought this one on a whim. Don't really need it because I don't speed but you never can be too careful. Made it's first trip last week to Dallas area and back and it was fun and interesting interpreting all the signals it was picking up. Not the fanciest or most sophisticated, but it works for my needs.

I get lots of false alerts

I have had one in my pickup for a couple of years and I just got one for my car. The car is a special one and seldom get it out but I expect it will work good for me. I think it will alert you asap but people need to realize that they are not fool proof, meaning that if you drive like a fool , sooner or later you are going to get a driving award. You have to use your judgement. I have around 5 million miles on me and I have had only a couple of speeding tickets. They are now outlawed in trucks but I had one right up to 2007 when I retired. The 380 gives you very few false signals and when that happens , it is just a few beeps and done. Anything else is going to drive you nuts with the trucks and stuff on cars. I am very satisfied with it.

Goes off all the time for false positives. . . And when it is going out for a cop he's right there I see him before it goes off

Liked this Radar Detector so much that I now have three of them -- one for each vehicle.

This was a great and nessacarry purchase. Out of the box, plug and play. I purchased the better suction cup mount for better securment. I'm glad I did, since install over a week ago, it hasn't fallen or lost suction yet. It does come with a simple two suction cup mount, I'm sure it works but I wanted extra security that it would stay put. It does and it works perfectly. The radar picks up the police with no issues, always in advance too. If your looking for a solid working radar and at a great price, this is for you.

It works well. Volume could be louder,but it is sufficient.

Works but it is the cheapest one then sell but it definitely tells you where the radar is coming from but the distance is not that great but for the price it’s worth it
