Description
This Techni Mobili Desk is a complete workstation offering an ample work surface and plenty of storage space. It features an accessory shelf atop a storage cabinet, a keyboard panel equipped with a safety stop, 2 drawers and a file cabinet. The CPU/Storage cabinet not only has a removable shelf that can be pleased up, down or completely removed but also has a large back opening for cables. The desktop has an 80lbs weight capacity, while the shelves can each hold up to 30lbs, and the drawers each have a 22lbs weight capacity. This elegant desk is made of heavy-duty MDF panels with a moisture resistant PVC laminate veneer atop scratch-resistant powder-coated steel supports. Color: Gray.

Q: Does the top hang over farther then the bottom part of the desk? Like is the top 48” wide and the desk part 47”??

A: Yes, the top overhangs: 0.25" on the sides 0.5" on the back 2.5" on the front.

A: It might be possible but we have not tried such thing so we cannot advise if it is recommended or not. Please note that if you decide to add casters (rollers) to this product, it will be considered a modification and the warranty will be automatically voided.

I bought this because I was upgrading the small office area in my home. The desk not too small and makes efficient use of space. I especially like the file drawer with the hanging folders - great for organizatrion and quick reference. My only complaint is that the leg area between the cabinets is a little narrow.

Love the desk however the holes for the screws are small AND I had to go buy a power drill. Once I got the power drill it was smooth sailing. Drawers and all are amazing and it fits my work laptop, work monitor and has a keyboard slide out tray.

Love this desk! It is just the right size and has the necessary compartments/drawers for a fully functional desk. My only disappointment was that I wanted to have the desk assembled and although the option was initially mentioned on the page with the desk, it was not offered at checkout.

Overall, for the price, I’m very happy with this desk. During assembly, as I do with other “assembly required” units, I apply a bit of liquid nails to the joints for increased stability. The retro look is great and functional. If you have a large tower, the computer cabinet will not be deep enough to close the door or use the shelf. For the price, this is a good buy.

Construction seems pretty sturdy except for the piece connecting the two towers. Since the top of the desk goes over all this, I'm not concerned about the entire setup. I like that the tray is off center so you can set up with the monitor to one side & have the entire right side open. It wasn't hard to put together, but it did take awhile. I used a drill on low torque to save my wrist from some of the screwing.

I loved this desk! I had almost a year before the first time I had to move it (turning my office into a nursery and moving it to another room). The desk broke-a leg came off the wood was bending. We bought a new one and returned the old one. About 6 months later we had to move it again, we considered taking it apart to move it but realized from returning the previous one some things would not fit back together once taken apart. We very carefully and SLOWLY moved it. While it did not fully come a part this time, it is coming a part. I am moving 3 hours away next year and considering selling this desk as moving it is such a night mare. I would only recommend buying if you do not plan on moving it AT ALL. Even within the same room. I love the features of the desk but the quality and design are poor.
