They shrinkwrapped under the hinge. They’re insane. It’s categorically impossible to get all of the plastic off because of this. You’ll be staring at tiny plastic edges forever because you can’t even cut them off effectively. Buy your clipboards from somewhere else.

You get what you pay for?
These are affordably priced because they are cheaply made. I didn’t expect top-tier quality, but I definitely did not expect the plastic packaging to be sealed under the metal hardware of the clipboard. This makes the plastic nearly impossible to completely remove and makes a cheap clipboard look an even more poor quality.

It's good. The plastic packaging ruins it.
This clipboard is good quality for the cost and serves its purpose well. That said, the packaging is ridiculous. I wouldn’t recommend this unless that changes. I’d even pay more for it NOT to be wrapped in plastic. It’s going to get scuffed up anyway. It seems the boards are wrapped before the clip hardware is placed on them. It seems impossible to get every bit of plastic out from beneath said hardware. You are left with edges of irremovable plastic.
