Q: How to make a slushy
A: To make a slushy with the Dash Deluxe Shaved Ice & Slushy Maker, begin by assembling the machine: place the ice shaving cup into the chamber, attach the stirring paddle to the serving pitcher, and secure the pitcher into the base. Add up to 8 medium-sized ice cubes into the shaving chamber, ensuring not to overload. Adjust the consistency knob to the "Medium" setting for a slushy texture. Cover with the locking lid and turn to lock. Turn on the machine to begin shaving the ice, which will collect in the pitcher. Once the desired amount is shaved, pour in your favorite chilled syrup or flavoring. Use the included stirring paddle to mix thoroughly. Serve immediately and enjoy your homemade slushy

Q: Why does this product contain BPA and the original does not have the same warning?
A: The Deluxe Shaved Ice & Slushy Maker uses certain plastics (called ABS and AS) that legally require a BPA warning because of potential trace amounts in the clear plastic, that do not come in direct contact with the ice. The original model used different materials that didn’t contain those plastics, so it didn’t need the warning. .
