Deadly Christmas Inheritance is an absorbing addition to the Texas Crime Scene Cleaners series! I loved reconnecting with the awesome Spencer family as they aid and protect caregiver Teegan Albright and her twin babies and catch a killer! Rhode Spencer is the hero here who, in addition to protecting Teegan, is dealing with his own personal issue as well as the shocking revelation that he is the father of Teegan’s babies. The fast moving, cleverly plotted storyline packed with action and surprises kept me hanging on every word and guessing to the end! Well-crafted relatable characters, main and secondary, kept me rooting for a happily ever after. I appreciate the faith thread woven throughout the story with themes of grace, mercy, and hope. Ms. Patch never ceases to amaze me with her superb storytelling talent, and I hope the series continues! Highly recommend. The suspense in this book starts from the beginning and continues all the way until the surprise reveal of the villain. Teegan is a single mother of twins, working at the estate of Lorna Landoon, a Hollywood legend. Her job takes a twisted turn when Lorna and Teegan’s twin sister Misty are found murdered. More twists follow immediately when Lorna’s will is read, Teegan is named as the primary heir and the danger begins right away. Enlisting the help of Rhode Spencer, the father of her twins, Teegan wants to keep herself and her babies safe while also finding out who is killing people that she knows personally. There are plenty of red herrings, more than a few surprises and plenty of clues before the big reveal. I enjoyed the fast-paced plot, the fun family times with Rhode and his siblings and Teegan’s intrepid spirit to keep looking for clues even in the face of danger. Quick read with relatable characters and plenty of edge-of-your-seat action!
